Israel has begun it's ground assault on Rafah.
Yeah, that same Rafah that the Israeli Offensive Force previously declared the only safezone left in Gaza, where supposedly the starving and wounded palestinian men, women, and children, would be allowed to stay without threat of being bombed. Well that turned out to be a lie already with multiple airstrikes daily on the civilian population. Now, however, with the western world distracted by a bunch of rich people in fancy suits and dresses attending a stupid-ass party in New York, Israel has decided to give the middle finger to peace talks and begin bringing tanks into Rafah.

Remember that thread a couple months ago where some guy tried to excuse the genocide of Palestinian people. One point I brought up was:
Quote
Previous moves by the Israeli Offensive Force have coincided with major relgious events such as Christmas, and cultural events that attract the US's attention such as the Superbowl.

And here we have the news concerned about some embarrassing stint with Jenna Ortega, and children are literally being shot by tanks.

That guy also brought up how generous Israeli forces are to announce their attacks before they occur. Well, yeah the IOF did drop fliers demanding that civillians evacuate Rafah. Except THEY LITERALLY ARE NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE ELSE, RAFAH WAS THE LAST REFUGEE CAMP ALLOWED THEM HOLY stuff

I know it is emotionally devastating to be following all of this in real time. Honestly sometimes famous people doing stupid stuff can be a reprieve. I for one am thoroughly entertained with how Kendrick is absolutely dismanteling Drake's Career, (and the backfire when Drake told Metro Boom to stick to making drumbeats). But even these rappers could be spending a little bit of their time bringing up how stuffty US imperialism. Macklemore, of all people, managed to do it (and still drag Drake and Kendrick for wasting time on their feud)

It's a good thing the loving cops are assaulting and arresting those scary college students peacefully protesting here in the US. And when they do stand back it is to let pro-zionist aggressors beat, pepper spray, and launch fireworks into crowds of unarmed protestors without repercussions. We all know how those student protesters against the Vietnam war were a bunch of hooligans who should be imprisoned or shot. We're just keeping up an All-American Tradition of silencing dissent.

Thank god congress got together to ban TikTok as well. We wouldn't want people using a media not regulated by the imperialist state let people have access to outside sources of information and humanize the people living through this imposed crCIA.

Goddamn.

[edit]
Oh, and yeah so I just learned that Israel is now specifically attacking the border between Rafah and Egypt.
In the last thread I had brought up how the border crossing was already difficult for Palestinians as Egypt doesn't have the facilities to take in the full influx of 2 million people at once, but now with the demands to evacuate the area (and the Palestinians not being allowed anywhere else in Gaza without being considered a combatant), the only option left was to try to leave through the Egyptian border. And now they are being killed there. I cannot even begin to understand how anyone could try to justify this outright evil behaviour.

Is this the end times?

(Note, the hidden user there is me. Through much shenanigans of me bothering Badspot with my talking in third person and him temporarily filtering my name to change all mentions of "ladios" to "me", and his inability to fix the complete wreck that is smf, i am marked as permanently hidden)

(For legal/anti banning reasons any mention in this thread of the forum dying is merely rhetorical for the purpose of making a joke, dont ban pls, i'm still using this forum to harass people with stuffty opinions)

Off Topic / Koden has passed away.
« on: January 07, 2024, 04:04:55 PM »
I am not sure how many of you will still remember my brother, Koden, but I felt inclined to inform these forums of his passing today.

Some of my fondest memories of this game are from back when the two of us first found it in 2005, playing on crazy maps in v0002 where we set the water to lava and had spikes of waves flying past our build. Playing RTB 1.045 where we made floating island maps and fortwars. Playing retail where we made and "starred" in movies by various forumers.

Koden was an avid music creator as well and to this day one of my favorite trance/techno songs was one he created. I still fondly remember his gift for my 16th birthday of live DJing my party. He was very imaginitive and intelligent and while he could be a pain, as any little brother could be, I cannot understate how much of a loss the world has suffered with his passing.

I don't have many words to say on the subject, but I know this game was important to him back in the day, and I felt this community was the first I should inform.

Please remember to cherish the moments you have with your friends and family. Building these memories will give you something to cherish ever after.

Off Topic / So I'm like accidentally becoming an actor?
« on: August 27, 2016, 09:50:17 PM »
So after I got my degree in videogame production I proceeded to do jack-stuff with it for over two years while working as a computer repair guy. Well there was alot more I wanted to do, I wanted to make robots and hoverboards and things, and start businesses for multimedia production and to eventually run for senator. However, in order to dedicate myself for these purposes I had to go back to school. What I did not expect was that I would fall in love with another subject entirely: performing arts.
I just finished this summer a production of a Shakespeare play, A Midsummer Night's dream, where I played the fairy Mustardseed. Now this semester I just got cast for the college's production of Tom Stoppard's play The Real Thing, where I get to play bigger character with quite a few lines (although I was called back for the lead role, the director pulled a non-student in for the role before even casting so I had no chance to get it even though everyone said I had the best callback :(  ). On top of that, I am also going to get to be in a ten-minute-opera as a chorus member for a short play festival in hollywood!
So I guess I am kind of an actor now?

I've been busy, how bout you?

Tomorrow is the last performance of a play I've been in, and I just finished two summer semester classes and in a week start the fall semester where I will be auditioning for two more plays. This acting thing is kinda fun I must say.

So its been a while Blogland:

Here's whats been going on with me, I took electronics last year to aid in my ability to build robots and calculus because it was a prerequisite for what I thought was a fluid dynamics course needed for understanding airflow.
Turns out it was just a physics-with-calculus thing with one chapter on fluid dynamics, so I scrapped that class and diverted my full attentions this semester to the arts.

I do plan on working on robotics but as I need a source of income to afford these parts I have started with some friends from game production school on a new phyics/platformer game to be released on pc, with android and console versions following shortly.
Meanwhile I am also starting up a new sci-fi webseries about ghosts, nanobots, AI overlords, and other nonsense. The first season will probably take all year to complete and I am going to have to deal with a lot of people over the course of this show, so for one whom had up until recently been lacking adequate social skills, this will be a fun test of my ability to organize nonsense.

On top of all this, for the first half of this semester I had been assistant directing the play, and we have just finished our first week of performances, and as this is at a college that uses its stage for a lot, our last showings are for this week. It's been a fun, yet tiring and time-consuming process, but I learned a lot so that's good.

Also I have decided I am going to run for California senate in 2022, and have begun reading a lot of philosophical, political, and economic books, and have been working on familiarizing myself with all the major political issues of the time. I look to set a standard in the conduct of politicians and their duties to society, and as I often am the one of the best in whatever subjects I actually dedicate myself towards, I feel that even if I am not elected, I can at least make a splash and stir up some important discussions as it were.

So how have things been going with you guys?

Off Topic / ugh just had to kill a second rattlesnake this month
« on: September 20, 2015, 01:07:23 PM »
it was pretty disturbing. a few weeks ago a snake got into the house and i had to kill something large in self defense for the first time. i dont like killing sentient things so it was pretty tramautic, especially due to the abnormally large amount of blood from the nessessary decapitation. i was told the normally dont bleed like that but the image gave me rather disturbing dreams. well just yesterday another snake got in and i wasnt able to get a clean whack on the base of its neck and instead had to beat the poor thing to death. ughhhhh

so yeah, how was your summer, blockland?

Forum Games / The First Public Solicitory Forum of the Council of Rai
« on: April 02, 2015, 08:47:39 PM »

A call is issued throughout the realms. To each clan that pledges allegiance to the true King of the lands of Rai, they may send forth a representative to act on behalf of their region, creating local decrees and giving input on kingdom-wide decrees as well.

The King is looking for only the best and the brightest to form his Council. To assist him in his interviewing process is his manservant, Stewart. In the council chamber, the menacing Rouge watches from the corner, ready to quickly dispatch any trouble makers.

Who dares think themselves worthy of the task of administering a region under the authority of His Supreme Monarch?
Who will join the Council of Rai?

I noticed all my posts and those of others now are filled with the image spam usually hidden behind badspot's adjustments to disable them in the forums. Is this just an april fools prank? If so it's not much of a prank. (I guess the prank would be in the suggestion that this isn't simply a prank and but a taste of changes to come) (but since this is already expected due to the nature of the holiday would an even greater prank be to prank people into suspecting it is a prank but then it not actually be one?) (Or to prank those people of that suspicion, that it actually is a prank)

Games / Looking for a browser game for having in the background.
« on: March 11, 2015, 01:45:49 PM »
Often times when I am doing chores I find the experience much more enjoyable with some form of media to accompany the tasks. Before my computer most recently started being screwey I would also play games that I could run during the time I was cleaning, while coming back occasionally to do things to.

Games like Sim City are good for this because you can just hit play and the game just does it's thing until you come back and add more zones etc.

Anyone have suggestions of a game in flash or java or whatnot that would be good for occasional pressing of buttons but otherwise just letting it run that I could have on whilst busy with today's cleaning tasks?

Games / Civilization is a cheating sack of stuff
« on: March 06, 2015, 08:57:20 PM »
So I am not even on that difficult of a setting, have all the cities maxed out, pretty much own my continent and am researching tech at a super rate with so much left over production im pumpin out soldiers. Suddenly I am greeted by the countries from overseas whom had achieved caravels before me somehow... oh wait its not just that, they are an entire two eras in techs ahead of me and instantly start finishing every wonder I had in production before I can. Well stuff I guess I have to now focus more on tech somehow, lolnope actually I have to divert all my resources into more soldiers since ghengis kahn decided to hack a few dozen riflemen for an invasion force when they were behind me in tech the whole damn game.

And yet I keep playing this game....

Post your cheating computer experiences here so we can all vent our frustration over poorly balanced AI-handicaps and the like.

Off Topic / What kind of pet should I get?
« on: February 25, 2015, 06:22:23 PM »
My cat has recently disappeared and while I am still saddened over his loss, I am also incredibly lonely with literally no one to talk to in person through most of the day, and would like some sort animal companion for carrying out conversation and shenanigans with. I really like cats for how smart they are and that they can be let to roam free without much issue.
My cat may have been attacked by coyotes but it was the first in over ten cats to live in this property to succumb to such a fate, so I don't fear much for it's safety as long as it isn't a lame out of shape indoor cat when we get it.
But I really don't feel up to having a cat again due to having lost one so recently.
I don't want a dog (even though they are awesome, they are a big liability in case they injure someone).
We are thinking about getting a goat, but we don't have the caging for one and it would be a while till we can set it up.
So in the meantime we need another idea for a pet. We've been thinking about lizards and birds but there are certain things about caged animals I am not fond of, and I wouldn't want a bird unless I could let it fly around but our trailer is tiny and there are several eagles and owls in our canyon that would probably quickly pick off an inexperienced housebird if let outside.
Turtles are smelly so I am not too fond of them.
And fish depress me unless I can get a huge aquarium for them, and again I don't have too much room for such things.

Anyone have pet suggestions?
