Off Topic / My Teacher Is Awesome
« on: August 24, 2013, 11:03:20 PM »
So essentially, I have a blog for school. It's really just the most fun homework I've ever done. But one of my popular trolls followed me to my blog site and harassed me. He made the mistake of not knowing how close the teacher and I are. We're like great friends.

Hilarity ensued.

And so I reported his IP for harassment. This has to be the best teacher I've ever had.

Thank god i don't have to work opening day. It looks a bit slow, but pretty neat.

Took like 6 years to perfect.

Games / TowerClimb - Golden Boots Usually Lead To Falling
« on: August 13, 2013, 04:36:55 PM »
^This image is a linkool kids klubk^

TowerClimb is a difficult and rewarding procedurally generated platformer.

The game borrows elements from the roguelike genre. If you die, you stay dead. Every time you start a new game, you are a different man.

A different adventure awaits each man. You will never play the same level twice.

Run, Jump, Swim, and Fly your way up the tower's atmospheric and lethal worlds. Quick thinking and strategy will keep you alive.

The game is difficult, but rewards patience, skill, and most importantly, problem solving ability. Quite often, The game throws your character into dangerous situations which require you to think very carefully about your actions.

If you die, It's most likely the result of breaking under the pressure, making a foolish decision in the spur of the moment, or making a foolish decision in the past (wasting resources). The game involves a certain degree of resource management. Waste your blessings and you will perish.

Discover and use (or be killed by!) a variety of items on your quest.

Original atmospheric soundtrack inspired by the best SNES era music.

The first half of the game is fully playable when you pre-order.

I loooove this game! It's worth the 5 CAD.
Here's some pictures from my adventures. Steam takes awful pictures, i am sorry, it didn't even resize them right.

Games / Looking For an Old Cryptic Game
« on: July 31, 2013, 03:33:43 AM »
Alright, a while ago i followed the development of a game called Block Craft 2. It was before minecraft got big and everything with craft became the loving handicapped sloths of the internet.

But still.

It was a LBP 2d knockoff. You played as something that looked exactly like yellow head. I actually believe the game was the alpha of LBP and was continued when LBP was published.

It kinda just up and vanished. I'd love to see it again.

Ok, so this is rather basic but i thought i'd share with you guys since we all can't just have controllers for our computer.

First you'll need MotionJoy.

This is the main program we'll be using for emulating an x-box controller so you can play all your favorite games from the comfort of your ps3 controller.

INSTALLING AND STARTING THE CONTROLLER.

Ok, first go to the website and get the program. Also, grab your favorite ps3 controller and the charging cord, or a longer one if you want.

Once installed you will get this tool. Double click it.

Now you will be greeted with the slightly crowded Profiles Page, these guys get money from advertising. This will not slow down your connection when the program is in the windows tray. If you want you can use the local connection button located at the top of the interface.

Next we'll go to options to make this program less of a pain in the ass.

In the options menu, uncheck autorun and check the "Place in system tray" box. Then click save.

At this time you should go back to the Profiles menu and plug in your controller to your fastest usb port. Windows will try to install the driver software and fail. Just ignore it and go to the driver manager.

First, you should click the "install all" button. This will take a minute and the program might lag a little, but it should install the software for the controller. Next, you check the controller's box and load the drivers. YOU ONLY NEED TO DO THIS ONCE. Finally, head back to your profile.

* The boxed area should now say that, mine already did since i already had it installed. So then you click the Xinput bubble so your controller emulates an x-box controller. Then you can customize the lights you would like on. Next up is the final test to see if you did this right. Click vibration testing, if your controller vibrates it is now properly working and you can finally click the Enable button. This is the only step you will need to do to start your controller every time you would like to use it.

Enjoy your new gaming controller set-up. This is completely harmless to your controller and is very easy to use.

REMOVING CONTROLLER AND CLOSING PROGRAM
First click Disconnect. Then remove the UBS ps3 controller from your computer's usb ports.

Then exit out of the program from the tray. Never disconnect a controller to use it on the same instance of the program later.

I'd like to state some things that might happen if you do not use MotionJoy properly.

When done with your controller, go to your tray and open the program. Click the disconnect button and remove your controller. It's now safely removed and you have to close the program before your next use. If this is not done, the last Ps3 that the controller was connected to will turn on or the controller will instantly connect to it. Also if you do not exit MotionJoy and you try to put in your controller again with the same instance of the program, there is a very high likely hood of your computer blue-screening. It's the worst error in the program and this is why i am warning you now. This error is being fixed slowly but surely.

Only one controller at a time, unless i'm forgetting something you can only use one controller at a time. If you try to do otherwise it will not work.

DO NOT PLUG IN TWO CONTROLLERS, IT HAS BAD SIDE EFFECTS.

If you have any problems, i'll be glad to help you.

Vinny's

AVIAN ADVENTURE

Hello there! So, recently i have been attempting to get a bird, and i can do it easily too! This is a topic covering the costs and such on how i will obtain the bird.

So, to get the bird first i need my parent's permission. This is not so easily obtained for a creature i would be paying completely for and taking care of it with my own money. But i digress, so here's my mission log on how to obtain the bird according to my parents, then me.
Parents:
- Wait some time *
- Put turtle up for adoption >>
- Take more care of turtle ~
Me:
- WAIT a lil *
- Do house work without saying anything *
- Prove 1337 responsibility >>
- Generally do good things *

~ = Ergh, not there yet
* = In progress
>> = This is going

Now, what i'm aiming for.

Avian - Male Parakeet or roosteratiel - $22-24
Place of Rest - Cage - $35-40 [ Jesus richard ]
Toys - Assorted - $10-15
Food - Decently Rated - $2-4
Dishes - 2 Plastic Bird Cage Cups - $3
Total = $74

This is only if i go with the cheapest cage, which i will, and 10 bucks of toys for my little cutie. Over time i'll buy more stuff for him.

He will be named . . .
KITTY

And overall, this looks incredibly east to achieve. He will hang next to my desk and we will be best buddies.

Also, if anyone has suggestions on toys i should buy, please tell me.

Furry Megathread

What is a furry?
Quote
The furry fandom is a subculture interested in fictional anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics. Examples of anthropomorphic attributes include exhibiting human intelligence and facial expressions, the ability to speak, walk on two legs, and wear clothes. Furry fandom is also used to refer to the community of people who gather on the Internet and at conventions.

Actually in case to prevent a stuffstorm or something else from happening again, put this at the first post

Key things to point out

- "Interested": Delve yourself in it.
- Nothing is said about loveual special interestes or fantasies
- Being bipedal isn't an issue, you just need a human trait applied, speaking, having human-level intelligence, even expressions count (a grey wolf's smile usually is a sign of aggression, applying a smile to a wolf to show happiness instead would be considered anthro-izing)

And don't feel bad about joining the fandom. With any fandom there's a "dark side" that everyone hates. Just avoid it and distance yourself from said far side and you should be alright.

Adversely if you feel like one but don't feel like declaring yourself one just yet that's alright. We can wait No one's stopping you.

On the subject of bestiality research: I actually don't have a problem with anyone looking at it. I don't have a problem with people committing mass shootings in GTA IV or watching a movie about a guy taking over the world for his evil deeds. Just don't do it IRL.
