Games / Shut up and jam! : Gaiden - and why arent you playing this?
« on: February 20, 2013, 04:34:37 PM »

Shut up and jam: Gaiden is basically a JRPG styled game, that isnt supposed to be serious but the developers took it very seriously.

Tales of Game's Presents Chef Boyardee's Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa is a freeware role-playing video game developed by Tales of Game's Studios, presented as an unofficial sequel to Barkley Shut Up and Jam! and Space Jam. It features traditional JRPG-styled battles and dungeons.

Gameplay

The player controls ex-NBA player Charles Barkley and a handful of secondary characters.[1] A host of ex- and current NBA players also feature as NPCs.
The game's battle system, dubbed the "B.A.B.B.Y. System," is influenced by many commercial JRPGs.[2] Enemies appear on the game field and may run at the player and attack if the player moves into their line of sight.[3] Once a battle is initiated, each player has a number of attacks and skills they can use. Most attacks require multiple or timed button presses as in the Mario RPG series, and some of the attacks are accuracy-based, dealing more damage for more accurate hits. The characters can also be placed into healing, attack and effect battle roles, depending on their skill set.

Plot

The game takes place in 2053, in "post-cyberpocalyptic Neo New York". Twelve years prior, Charles Barkley performed a powerful dunk called a Chaos Dunk at a basketball game, inadvertently killing most of the people in attendance. As a result, basketball was outlawed and many basketball players were hunted down and killed.[2]
In 2053, another Chaos Dunk is performed in Manhattan, killing millions. Barkley is blamed for the Chaos Dunk and is hunted by the B-Ball Removal Department, led by Michael Jordan.[2][4] Barkley is rescued by another outlaw referred to as the Ultimate Hellbane. Hellbane leads Barkley to the tomb of LeBron James, revealing that Hellbane's real name is Balthios, the great grandson of James. The ghost of James tells the two to seek the Cyberdwarf, who is hidden in New York's sewers. While searching for the Cyberdwarf, they are joined by a cybernetic Vince Carter, who has lost his memory. Upon finding Cyberdwarf, the four of them rush to a nearby church, where Barkley's son Hoopz is hiding. In the church, Jordan kills Father Larry Bird and holds Hoopz hostage. Cyberdwarf, looking at Hoopz, comments that Hoopz may be “The One”; this comment restores Carter's memory. He was killed along with many other basketball stars, but was rebuilt by the terrorist organization B.L.O.O.D.M.O.S.E.S. to kill Hoopz. Carter joins with Jordan, but the two are driven off by Barkley and his party.
Cyberdwarf theorizes that B.L.O.O.D.M.O.S.E.S. used a powerful basketball called the Ultimate B-Ball to perform the recent Chaos Dunk, so they travel to the old Spalding building to find a rumored extremely powerful basketball. There, they discover that such a ball had been created, dubbed the Hell B-Ball. This ball was so powerful that a janitor who mishandled it inadvertently performed a Chaos Dunk in the building years ago. With the Hell B-Ball in hand, the party seek out B.L.O.O.D.M.O.S.E.S.
They find the B.L.O.O.D.M.O.S.E.S. headquarters on the slave ship Necron 5. After freeing Carter from his programming and defeating Jordan in basketball combat, they find the leader of B.L.O.O.D.M.O.S.E.S., a shadowy version of Barkley created by the Ultimate B-Ball to destroy all life on Earth with a super-powerful Chaos Dunk, then repopulate the earth with Barkley clones. Shadow Barkley is defeated, but machinery on the ship is set to perform the Chaos Dunk without Shadow Barkley. Barkley stays behind as the rest of the party escapes from the Necron 5, then he performs another Chaos Dunk, destroying the ship and saving the earth.

Quote from the website itself:

Quote
The Great B-Ball Purge of 2041, a day so painful to some that it is referred to only as the “B-Ballnacht”. Thousands upon thousands of the world’s greatest ballers were massacred in a swath of violence and sports bigotry as the game was outlawed worldwide. The reason: the Chaos Dunk, a jam so powerful its mere existence threatens the balance of chaos and order. Among the few ballers and fans that survived the basketball genocide was Charles Barkley, the man capable of performing the “Verboten Jam”…

Flash forward 12 years to the post-cyberpocalyptic ruins of Neo New York, 2053. A Chaos Dunk rocks the island of Manhattan, killing 15 million. When the finger is put on the aging Charles Barkley, he must evade the capture of the B-Ball Removal Department, led by former friend and baller Michael Jordan, and disappear into the dangerous underground of the post-cyberpocalypse to clear his name and find out the mysterious truth behind the Chaos Dunk. Joined by allies along the way, including his son Hoopz, Barkley must face the dangers of a life he thought he gave up a long time ago and discover the secrets behind the terrorist organization B.L.O.O.D.M.O.S.E.S.

A tale of zaubers, b-balls, and atonement; brave dangers unheard of, face spectacular challenges that even the greatest ballers could not overcome, and maybe… just maybe… redeem basketball once and for all in:

Tales of Game’s Studios Presents Chef Boyardee’s Barkley, Shut Up & Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa.

and now go, download it, and have the best game ever on your very computer.

« on: January 05, 2013, 12:24:01 PM »

i was thinking of putting bromine (Br) which is a liquid at room temperature inside of a vial with some Oxygen and some Xenon (Xe), as Xenon is a bit heavier then Bromine, would the liquid bromine stay above the Xenon, but below the Oxygen? or would it mix or react?

My friend Ladezkik and I made this build over a very long period last year, it was destined to be the headquarters for a democratic building group, but once we finished it, we never started the group.

Entrance Hall

Lobby

The Momentum Wing, which contains various public areas.

The Cafeteria inside of the Momentum Wing, with a sushi and coffee shop.

Off Topic / ROBLOX for iPad - this stuff be straight outa the future yo
« on: December 09, 2012, 12:34:51 PM »
Roblox for the iPad was released yesterday. Coming from 2009, this stuff looks like stuff from the future, it kinda sucks though, as only 6 games are playable, most of those games crash your device, and you cant build in your place.

Quote
ROBLOX is in the process of bringing our 9.8 million user-created games to the iPad. The first release of ROBLOX Mobile that supports online play is almost here. To raise awareness in the ROBLOX community of our imminent launch, we’re running a promotion targeted at ROBLOX game developers that will give them an opportunity to win a brand-new iPad 3.

go on the app store and stuff your pants at it guys.

Off Topic / Jesus Christ NBC.
« on: December 06, 2012, 07:04:03 PM »
you know what? I used to think that Fox News was the stupidest and most biased news source out there, but forget me; NBC takes the loving cake now. Did any of you see that stuff today when someone was interviewing Tim cook? Christ almighty, they went on about how Samsung was stealing all of apples ideas and making all those "hateful" ads against apple. I am really starting to see why some people don't even watch the news anymore. Why bother watching the nespws anymore? All they do is pick sides of arguments and constantly beg you to follow them on twitter. You know what? Take a shot of alcohol every time the news mentions their twitter account, asks you to follow them, asks you to follow someone else, or if they say the world social media, you will probably be drunk, if not dead in about 15 minutes. Anyways, lets get back to that loving apple interview thing. The news on television now doesn't talk about many interesting stories, all they do is just ramble on and repeat the same stupid stuff all the time. oh wow, I didn't already know that princess Kate had morning sickness, even though you have told me about four times already, I guess I still need to know! Since the news knows that people are starting to not watch television anymore, they are trying to turn their newscasts into some forgeted up Internet and television hybrid, which would be nice, if they didn't shove twitter down our throats. forget you NBC.
