Help / Just installed Blockland on my new PC, can't find the add-ons folder
« on: November 26, 2012, 04:46:36 PM »
I built a new PC last June, and I just recently decided to download Blockland on it. When I went to download RTB, I went into my Blockland folder and there is no "Add-ons" folder. There are only 3 items: Blocklandlauncher, msrcr71.dll, and the uninstall application. Help?

Off Topic / My New Year's Resolution(s)
« on: January 02, 2012, 02:08:12 AM »
Hey everybody, it's been awhile. I don't have much to do tonight, so I am going to start a discussion on my new years resolution.

Now, I'm not one to make big new year's resolutions, but this year I think I'm going to try something a lot bigger then all the small resolutions I've done before. This year, I am going to stop hating anything/anyone. I will try to the best of my ability to drop all negative and derogatory thoughts to anything and everything. Negativity is the bane of progression. No more tribal thoughts against people of different ethnicities, no more negative thoughts against homoloveuals, no more hatred towards anyone. I choose to do this because I think that within the few recent years, I have really been turning myself into a scumbag Steve-Blatantly starting useless stufffests, being extremely tribal, practically hating almost everyone in my generation.

Now, I won't hate a man I don't know because he is gay, I won't try to make fun of my city for being full of wannabe "ghetto rats", and I won't even think about hating my generation because they can be on the ignorant side every now and then. If there is an idea that I may oppose, I will not bash the person or idea solely because I do not like it.

TL;DR I am going to try to be a good guy Greg, and not a scumbag Steve.

Off Topic / Forum Game: KILL THAT ANT!
« on: October 23, 2011, 07:05:17 PM »
So one person says a reason the ant didn't die in the last post.. then tries to kill the ant themselves.
Example:

Poster 1: Ant is stepped on and dies

Poster 2: A Veterinarian was there to bring him back to life.
The ant is thrown in the ocean.

Poster 1: Life guard brings it back to shore, and does CPR.
Ant randomly for no reason catches on fire.

And so on and so forth.. now let me begin.

A anteater eats the ant.

Off Topic / Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood
« on: October 11, 2011, 11:31:46 PM »
Does anyone remember this show? Some of the younger members might not have ever seen this, but some of us others will quite fondly remember this. Mr Rogers show was a children's TV show that began airing in 1968 and went all the way up into the 2000's where it ended(Mr. Rogers died IRL, and no one could replace him) Unlike most other children's TV shows, Mr. Roger's was not a cartoon, and generally wasn't like any other show meant for young children. Mr Rogers would teach you about EVERYTHING, in a way that you could watch the show even today and think "Wow, there is just something about this guy that makes him so magical, such a good person to fit this role".

Quote from: Wikipedia
Initially educated to be a minister, Rogers was displeased with the way television addressed children and made an effort to change this when he began to write for and perform on local Pittsburgh area shows dedicated to youth. The Public Broadcasting System developed his own nationally aired show in 1968 and over the course of three decades on television, he became an indelible American icon of children's entertainment and education, as well as a symbol of compassion, patience, and morality.
Rogers was honored extensively for his life work in children's education. He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States' highest civilian honor, a Peabody Award for his career, and was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame. Two resolutions recognizing his work were unanimously passed by U.S. Congress, one of his trademark sweaters was acquired and is on display at the Smithsonian Institution, and several buildings and works of art in Pennsylvania are dedicated to his memory.

In a typical episode, Rogers might have an earnest conversation with his television audience, interact with live guests, take a field trip to such places as a bakery or a music store, or watch a short film.Typical video subjects included demonstrations of how such inanimate objects as bulldozers and crayons work or are manufactured.
Each episode included a trip to Rogers' "Neighborhood of Make-Believe" featuring a trolley with its own chiming theme song, a castle, and the kingdom's citizens, including King Friday XIII. The subjects discussed in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe often allowed further development of themes discussed in Mister Rogers' "real" neighborhood.Rogers also believed in not acting out a different persona on camera compared to how he acted off camera, stating that "One of the greatest gifts you can give anybody is the gift of your honest self. I also believe that kids can spot a phony a mile away."[17] Rogers composed almost all of the music on the program.[note 1] He wanted to teach children to love themselves and others, and he addressed common childhood fears with comforting songs and skits. For example, one of his famous songs explains how a child cannot be pulled down the bathtub drain because he or she will not fit. He even once took a trip to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh to show children that a hospital is not a place to fear. During the Gulf War (1990–91), he assured his audience that all children in the neighborhood would be well cared for and asked parents to promise to take care of their own children. The message was aired again by PBS during the media storm that preceded the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

The ending song "Its a Good Feeling" is one of the best songs I have ever heard, and the lyrics are touching.

It's such a good feeling to know you're alive.
It's such a happy feeling: You're growing inside.
And when you wake up ready to say,
"I think I'll make a snappy new day."
It's such a good feeling, a very good feeling,
The feeling you know that I'll be back, when the day is new, and I'll have more ideas for you, and you'll have things you'll want to talk about, I will too. You always make each day such a special day. You know how! By just being you! Theres only one person in the whole world like you, and people can like you exactly as you are.

Anti Jokes-Anti Jokes (or Anti Humor) is a type of comedy in which the uses is set up to expect a typical joke setup however the joke ends with such anticlimax that it becomes funny in its own right. The lack of punchline is the punchline.

ex. A horse walked into a bar, and the bartender said "why the long face?" The horse said "My wife has terminal cancer."

ex. How do you make a plumber cry? You kill his family.

Why did the little boy drop his ice cream? He was his by a bus.

What's worse then finding a worm on your apple? The holocaust.

Roses are red, violets are blue
I have a gun, get in the van.

Off Topic / Classical Music Thread
« on: September 16, 2011, 10:50:50 PM »
Classical music has been around for many, many centuries, and is considered not just a music genre, but an art in itself. There are millions of pieces of music that have been composed over millenia that would be considered Classical, and there are so many different types and sections of Classical music, that it appeals to almost everyone that really pays attention to it. Some people, more commonly nowadays think that Classical music is dying/dead, and that is definitely not true. "Popular" music is only a passing fad, where a song will be played and performed by musical groups usually for only a decade at most, but Classical music arrangements will last forever.

There are many different types of classical music, and if you try listening to it, you WILL find at least 5 pieces that never fail to make your soul just feel at rest, for classical music is a soothing, calming genre of music. Not only can it do this, but there are also pieces that depict many different emotions and scenes. Classical music is played with so many different instruments, I can't name them all. the instruments I play that would be commonly found in a classical arrangement include Clarinet, Bassoon, acoustic guitar, and tuba. Thousands of classical musicians over the ages have conducted and written many different, yet unique pieces that will last throughout the ages. Soem of these composers/groups include Bach, Beethoven, The Vienna Boychoir, Paganini,  The Cleveland Orchestra, Rachmaninoff, Mozart, and much, much more. I made a playlist of some incredible pieces that I highly suggest you listen to. They are all amazing pieces that will amaze you with there simple yet beautiful, melodic music.

Discuss Classical music!

I appreciate Classical music a lot because I used to sing in the Ohio Boychoir, and I play many different instruments. I grew up listening to beautiful music that really enriched my life, and it helped my with everything.

Long story short, these kids are going to try to fight me because I made a comment of facebook that they didn't like.

these kids are all very strong and will kick my ass if they actually fight me. If they do, I'm going to take it to court.

If they try to fight me outside of school, I'm going to be carrying a knife around. Second amendmant. Don't add any of these people on FB please. BTW I'm "Tim Reed" in the conversation. Nick Schultz is my friend. Did I do everything right?

Here is the current desktop I have:

It has all stock parts, so I'm obviously going to need to upgrade it, as it is very old. I don't know a lot about computers, so it would be great if you guys could suggest what I should get so that I can upgrade this to play games such as Skyrim(when it comes out...). What I need to know is what parts I should upgrade, and if you can, suggest parts that I should buy(nothing overpriced please). I'm browsing newegg right now, and I'm wondering what parts are just right, I don't want some super-powerful computer that can support crysis graphics, and I don't want a processor that can support 2 just cause2 games running at the same time, I just want something that I can play decent games on, games like Skyrim or Fallout.
