I got almost none of the references. People seem to like it though, so that's cool I guess.

I did like seeing Jaiden and James as well as all the other animators in the end. That was pretty great.

did this need another thread

Don't get me wrong, I'm down with whatever this rvb game thing is. I just think it might have been better to edit the server details into the OP of the other thread.

badspot should set up 1 hour or 1 day temp autobans for all sorts of specific words being posted. and not tell people what those words are. it will be over before people can even begin to figure them out lol.
Oh, that would be awesome.

That's not true at all. RAR5 has won against 7zip with compression ratios in multiple benchmarks.
That's news to me. Then again, I haven't been paying attention to these programs at all. Fair enough.

The 7zip user interface is also buggy and crashes all the time.
I've never experienced this myself, but I don't usually mess with large archives unless I'm on my work machine, which runs Linux, so I basically never see 7-Zip's Windows UI.

I watched the video they provided along with other videos people made on YouTube. It’s like using FL Studio for making a rock album, no one loving does that.
I'm not trying to present a superior piece of software here.
I'm trying to present something else that might get the job done without money.
But whatever, OP can do what he wants.

Everyone
lmao what
7-Zip beats WinRAR in both speed and compression ratio.

Having looked at LMMS, the entire focus seems to be on beat making, synthesis, and MIDI. OP is asking for an entirely different purpose. REAPER will cover everything he needs.
Having used LMMS for years, you're wrong. It's a fully featured DAW. The only contexts in which MIDI is relevant to it, is when importing note patterns from MIDI or using MIDI devices.
Actually, I'm pretty sure you just got that info from the first few groups of words you saw on the website.

Everyone has different software preferences, but you should at least look at other programs before deciding one is worth money.

"forget people who want to make money, nevertheless the fact the devs lets you use the entire program for free anyway!"
At no point did I imply the devs of Reaper are doing anything wrong.
I'm just pointing out that if you're going to pay for something, you might as well see if you can find a similar tool that does what you want for free.

And I've always been annoyed when programs give you popups asking you to pay for something or to rate it on whatever store it came from, etc.
I usually try to avoid programs that do that, and it's usually super easy, because there's almost always an open source alternative.
Like, the example you gave is WinRAR. Who would use WinRAR when 7-Zip exists?

Or you could use the one that doesn't beg you for money and lets you do whatever you want with the music you create.
Always an option you can try before paying for something.

Here I am to shove an open source alternative into this thread.
https://lmms.io/
Completely free, and comes with zynaddsubfx integrated into it.
It's pretty good.
