Add-Ons / Re: Tier+Tactical 2.1 Megathread
« on: August 28, 2012, 11:04:40 AM »
I just had an idea on how to improve the Combat Knife, because it seems to outclass all of the other melee options right now.
Problem 1: No visual cue of charged knife
Solution: Make the knife have smoke coming off it/glow if it's charged.

Problem 2: Too much damage to a small downside
Solution: The charge attack always instakills, so it could slow you down if it's charged. For those who won't like this, make it optional?

I have no strong feelings one way or the other
But you kinda deserved it because:
A) How pacnet acted towards Scratch
B) You violated your ISP's ToS.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Suggestion: Free Dedicated Hosting Service
« on: August 25, 2012, 08:30:19 PM »
Here's an idea
Host your servers yourself
Leaving the dedicated server window in the background while you do stuff shouldn't be too hard
Hell, if you have a spare PC use that

What?

Are you talking about the zero gravity outside the spawnroom? Because that's programmed in. You're meant to jet in the direction you want to go.
That has a habit of breaking

And besides, Using the grapple hook to get around is piss easy after a bit of practice

So you have a spikey shell
how cute

Correct me if I'm wrong but these guys haven't really put out any big games in ages. Sure wipeout was great, but nobody really bought it lol.
In fact sony gave out thousands of copies of wipeout HD for free just because.

Like what have they been doing?

Also know the amount of research I've done on this amounts to an even forget all.
So really please do correct me if I'm wrong.
Come to think of it, the only game i've seen them do recently is Wipeout

Wtf were they doing

Maybe they just like to put a lot of time into their stuff

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Slayer add-on: Spectator team
« on: August 22, 2012, 03:27:44 AM »
He wanted an event which made specific people spectators, which is a bit different. I just said that I would let somebody else make it and I gave them a tip on how to.
The difference between the thing you wanted to add and my idea, is that in my idea, the spectators can spawn and walk around  :cookieMonster:

He has no idea what it is.
So he just stares for a moment, and walks off.

Suggestions & Requests / Slayer add-on: Spectator team
« on: August 21, 2012, 02:01:50 PM »
Okay, imagine this.
You want to make a spectator DM with real player spectators in spectator stands(Think monday night combat).
The thing is, this limits what you can do a little bit.
Hell, a lot.
If you do it by-points, a player can Self Delete/die an environmental death, therefore not giving the opposing player a point, and potentially dragging the match on, or halting it completley.
If you do it by lives, well, that's obvious enough.
So, here's a slayer addon for you, Spectator teams.
If you check the "Spectator" box in a team, they become noncombatant so they can watch and walk about the stands, and are not counted if the win method is lives.
If there is only one non spectator team, the game is treated as a free for all DM, so teammates killing eachother in that team counts as a standard kill, and the last man standing in that team is a winner, if you choose to go that way.

Good idea y/n blablabla

Wow, mature response.

I wasn't talking about myself, therefor there is nothing to get over.

Yes, the models need work, but the firing system is good for its time.

And how does James play a role in this?

On what plane of reality does a glock outperforming a sniper rifle in long range combat make sense
The guns are broken as stuff, look like stuff and are overall stuff.

T+T/FW are currently the best guns in blockland.

It needs more sounds
You can't have big stompy mechs without big stompy sounds
