Do we have a unique use for each material?
We could have it a little like this:
Wood:
- Building
- Fires
Metal:
- Constructing weaponry (maybe)
- Building
Stone:
- Building
-???
Water:
- Thirst (If we had a script for thirst)
- Constructing water bricks (for moats, maybe)

We would have to have advantages and disadvantages for stone, metal, wood building.  For example, wood would be weaker, but easier to find; metal, which would be a little bit stronger but harder to find; and stone would be somewhere in the middle.

Well if you can't animate well that's okay, just export an open one and a closed one.

Edit: I'll get it to you tomorrow.  Mediafire isn't working and my internet is going really slow.

I can import .obj files.
Alright, I think I'll give you the full crate and you can give it an opening and closing animation, because I don't know whether or not it'll keep an animation on export.

I'll PM you it in a moment.  I need to reduce the amount of colors in the model and join everything of the same color.

What files does it need to import for your models?
File type?  I can give you it in .blend, .3ds, .obj and a bunch of others.  Blender has many exporters, but DTS never worked for me.

Can none of your modelers export? Perhaps I can export, I own Ms3D.
What file types can Ms3D import?

And what about filefront?  It still spams you with adds but I haven't had a problem with it yet.

I really like the new song.  I may consider buying this, I've been making music for about a year with a pretty lame program.  Then I tried the demo for this, it's really a lot better than what I was using before.

Anyway, keep it up.  They're really nice.

The Humvee has about 5000.  It's because of the bars on the top and front.  Yes, Packer, I read you're topic on unreasonably high poly count.  I have just recently been trying to reduce that with all my models.  I could make the bars squares instead of cylinders.  That would probably take it down 500-700.  Remove/Change the exhaust pipe (whatever it's called) on the hood take it down another 100-200.  My guess Is I could probably take it down 2000 with it still looking good.

But anyway, I'm working on a large pirate ship (not full scale) which might give me some problems with poly count.  The hull itself is already in the thousands.  As for making things that they request, I would be willing to try to model a harrier jump-jet.  I'm just not sure if heed would script it.

Edit: I brought the hull down from 4000 polys to 1070 polys

I've got two medieval weapons ready to go.  Did you ever get the shield to work with a collision box?

Spear:


The spear should be a different from the normal spear.  You hold it like in the second one for a "jab" melee attack: (sorry for the cheesy picture)

And then you right click to go into the first position, throwing it like the normal spear.

I haven't actually tried doing a higher detail weapon yet.  The human model and that scene with the table are the only good, highly detailed things I've made.  I don't really have any ideas...

Here's two of my ARROWS turrets from a project that was never completed. (Arrows stands for, Advanced Reconnaissance and Remotely Operated Weapons Systems)  In other words, a turret that shoots on it's own.

The Flak 88 is done if you like it.  Ended up looking a lot like my flamethrower turret.

If you're wondering what the "track" on the gun is, it's to prevent recoil damage to the joints.
