Because these topics are good discussions and it really challenges my faith.

I agree. Everyone enjoys a good argument.

Old or new testament?

Old, I believe. But what difference does it make?

Why does it seem that when I make a logical statement I am shut out of the conversation?

Your statement made sense and did not warrant further commenting. However I agree with you. I hate overly religiosity and overly atheist people.

Condoms don't always work.
Because you can always keep a lie forever.
I don't really have any beliefs in gay marriage because I'm not really informed about it.

Liston, I'm not saying the bible doesn't have bad rules. However, not all of them are good. It says, in the bible, that gays should be stoned. This is horrible and infringes upon their human rights. Personally, I hate atheists, and I hate overly religious people, but I am going to have to say science on this one.

Why?

But do you think that following gods rules probably makes you life better in the long run? Like you might get an STD. Condoms.Or tell a big lie and someone finds out its a lie and get in worse trouble for it.Or I dont tell A lie, as its against my religion, and something bad occurs Why does gay marriage matter to you.Because I'm not a biggit, and I believe in equality.

Believe =/= Follow exactly.

If you believe in the bible then you follow the bible.

Too bad you can trust no one these days.

Please explain what you loose if you believe in the bible? How does it really hurt overall.

XGod ExistsDoesnt exist
BelieveLive forever in paradiseNothing
Dont believeHellHave love whenever I want. Lie when I feel like it. Not feel bad if I dont do things as the bible wishes. Never fear if Im going to hell or not. Gay marriage. birth control. hour of my week, every week. working for stuff, not praying for it. doing things because you want to, not because some book wants you do. Not giving money to the church. Being fine with nudity. Not having a baseline of generally incorrect scientific knowledge.

The chances that god exists that, while the benefits for believing in him if he are great, they are out-masked by the benifits by not believing in him

Hes not flaming as much as hes explaining the logical errors, which is very very good.

Then the whole idea of portions are pretty much impossible. For example, we use them in science to convert solubility to g/100ml.

yes? Whats the isse?

Also, Math, in of itself, is not at fault. It is the presentation of the math that is at fault. False data is not grounds to say math is incorrect. Its only to say the creator is incorrect. In addition, anything can be bent to your will. you can make the bible say anything via creative interpretation and ignoring parts.

Exactly, math can be bent to get it to prove false things.

Yes, but before we hear about any new scientific theories they get fact checked.

When you have root negative one involved, quantities are no longer the same.

I'm pretty sure generally people who go to church and use it as a good learning experience are probably much better people overall.

Also, my math example if purely right if you think you can mix observations with math and always call it right.

Bad math. For the past five minutes Ive been sitting down. Thus I always sit down. Right?

No.

I go to school 5/7 days a week. So mathematically, using portions, I could calculate I go to school 257 days of a 360 day school year. Well math is wrong, I only go like 175.

Thats wrong, you don't go to school 5/7 of the time. You forgot to factor in holidays. You go about 1/2 of the time.

I observe me going to school 5/5 weekdays. According to math that means I go to school 100% of the time.

Yes that math is correct? Your point? Or are you just providing a counter example of your own claim? I'm confused.

How can 1 squared be 1 when all the other numbers change! It doesn't make no sense and I won't believe it! Two 1s together should not be able to be 1!

There is one grouping of 1. It makes sense.

Yes, math is made up, but it is based on our observations, and there is no true flaws of it. But using math to "prove" some extreme theory just doesn't seem to right.

Yes it is right. Math is representative of ideas. If the math is true, then it is true. Arguing math is not true is akin to nothing. There is no equivalence to how factual math is.

They both liars apples don't do that.

Figurative as to prove a point.
