Even if he did, I don´t think judging people by BL_IDs is quite right.
However he could have bought the key from a third-party website. I remember seeing one with 20k IDs a while back.

It should really have those "blablabla"

I have been launching Blockland without an internet connection for the past couple months, and it has been working without any problem.
