Drama / Re: stuffty Puns - stuffty Behavior
« on: July 07, 2014, 09:19:09 AM »
Today I made a thread saying that I've finally started to watch Breaking Bad, and he decides to come and ruin the show for me by first posting this
maybe that's your just deserts for posting every god-damn thing you do on the internet, you twat. i'm sorry but this kind of "i'll share it with everyone" mentality is loving dumb to me. don't get pissed that you got a result you didn't like when trying to impose your personal stuff on a group of strangers, especially on the loving internet.

the tank is the epitome of phallic militarism
it's like your shooting your enemies with a big snake

i think a better title may be "do any forumers here have experience with font production?"

but no, i don't. a quick google search has results for font editing software, so if you're interested, look into one of those.

unless you mean something else entirely by having "experience with fonts"

but who wants to write in a dirty chink language anyway, am i right??????

Worst might be Dark Souls, because even though I got it for 7.49, I'm probably going to need to buy a $30 controller to actually play it.
WRONG DARK SOULS WAS YOUR BEST PURCHASE

I beefed my games catalogue pretty good with the sale, I bought these games:

Organ Trail: Director's cut
Viscera Cleanup Detail
The Puppy Games Pack (Droid Assault, Titan Attacks, Ultratron)
Hotline Miami
Killer is Dead
METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE
Betrayer
The Fall
The Wolf Among Us
State of Decay
Sleeping Dogs
L.A. Noire

I'd have to say I've had the most fun with Killer is Dead, aside from the Gigolo missions. I've sunken the most hours into State of Decay though, which I can vouch as being pretty strong as well. The worst I would say has to be tied between Betrayer and LA Noire. LA Noire runs like stuff compared to most of the games I own. I've gotten the least distance in it compared to the rest of the games. the loving painfully long tutorial section did help by leaving the most intriguing aspect (Lie, Doubt, Truth)  till the end. Betrayer is similarly boring, but with hope or good intentions. you spend a lot of time walking around, but the mechanics and style work quite well (as an indie game).

what purchases were you most satisfied and dissatisfied with?

Games / Re: Do i have buals of steel or are horror games just stuff?
« on: June 30, 2014, 06:23:56 AM »
i think the more critically acclaimed horror games where as such because they built their atmospheres really well. not necessarily "scary" or fear-driven feelings either. Games like Silent Hill 2 make the setting of the game feel very decrepit and lonely by having everything be very quiet, enemies slow and lifeless, and characters distant, irrational and oddly performed. games like amnesia, outlast try to make you fearful. they make you helpless and conceal everything in darkness to try and make threats more surprising and to rob players of their domineering agency, which is something that is hardcoded into many a **gamer's** mind. This method is actually kind of cheap and is easy to see why rational individuals aren't so much scared as frustrated. dead space is more a "game" in that difficulties and fear come with overcoming the game's systems (shooting), and the horror is subsidiary and used only as a theme rather than a point. At least, that's probably what it is. i ain't never e'n played dead space, i'm just assuming from the hours of gameplay I've seen of it and other people's descriptions of the game.

I'm eager for the evil within, because it comes from the pioneer of the survival horror genre, Shinji Mikami. to my understanding, survival horror is sort of an action game with a resource-management and conservation focus where horror is an aesthetic theme, but that plays well with the mechanics.

i'm not really a patron of the "pixel arts" but I find it useful for improving form because you can focus on details less

this is still pretty stuff but it's got strengths over my other physical drawings

nah, i don't want a game, but I want some borderlands DLC - preferably, for the assassin

i'd say Long Live the Queen if you had $0.49 more :(

okay, mus gets a free game. it was "long live the queen" right?

i sold some of my cards now I have 2.50
