this is how the forum works

A forum that works like that doesn't deserve to exist.

Hello, I'm here to talk about an inviting place we all know of.

It seems like a great place to meet players and discuss the game. Really, it sucks.

This game is great. It's brilliant. But this community itself is disgraceful.  Nobody should be proud of this game's community.

I remember four years ago when I first joined the game. The first server I joined was LeetZero's minicity.

I recall him trying to do a newbie test on me and he was not being nice at all. I'm pretty sure he turned me away from the game for a few weeks.

Then someone linked me to a forum topic and I thought, wow, I can discuss the game with other users and meet players. I joined and released a colorset that I made.

People pretty much flamed me and said that it was horrible, and I was stupid enough to reply back and start a battle. Soon I had some drama topics running on me and it just escalated from there, leading to an IP ban.

Fast forward one year later. Badspot said IP bans were lifted and so I joined again under a new account called PNetwork2011.

I made a stupid hosting service which sucked and didn't even work.

I used to hate Kalphiter back then, and when he was taking to me about it one day, I lied that I used my mom's laptop and busted it  because I thought it was a good excuse.

This is another problem. I join servers and don't even chat one line and some grudge holder says something about this failed hosting service, and they laugh at me. Even when three years have passed. Do these people have a sense of time? Of course not, because as Badspot himself said about his own messed up community-

Same starfishs, same stuff, different day.  Welcome to the Blockland forums.

So I constantly get annoyed by people who don't know what time is and they can't read dates of posts that read 2010 or 2011. And they run off thinking they're geniuses.

I'll just skip to 2012 which is when I paid hammereditor to get off my  22696 key and buy his own key.

He won an award at an academic competition and we (why me?..) were rewarded with a tower server. We didn't know that hosting servers on our home internet was against the Verizon ToS.

But wait. Stop right there. My next few problems came here.

In my 2011 hosting failure, I claimed that PNetwork was Pacnet's brother and I later said that I had been lying.

In the credits of the topic on that hosting service, I had listed a "hammereditor" as the quote guy.

Yes, my real brother made up fake quotes about how good the service was. It still makes me laugh just thinking about it.

Now when hammereditor was introduced as my brother in 2012 (it wasn't a lie this time), it was um.. Yeah.

People started to think that hammereditor was fake and I was pretending to be two people because I claimed that pnetwork was fake.

And this is where I get  a lot of frustration from. The people that still chase me around which I just call the RTB Bashers think that I'm hammereditor.

They don't think. PNetwork as my brother was fake. But hammereditor as my brother is true.
And there's a lot of proof surrounding that, but these people still chase me down.

Today I've seen Zanran or something hopping on with this idea and I hate him and others like him.

Like I could livestream hammer and I dueling on a lan server with picture proof which I really want to acquire (right now I don't have permission to post it) and they'd still think that I faked everything.

But this is a group of total grudge holders that we're talking about.

In 2013 there was HamHost and I didn't want to participate in this project that hammer  imagined because of the fights that happened last time, so I refused.

This is my next problem. People were making fun of HamHost and attacking it, flaming it and parodying its name before it even started.

There are people here that attack users like hammer who put in so much effort and time to provide a service when the basher hasn't done anything!

I see this all the time on the forums anywhere I go. Like someone pours his hours into making a brick and some loser like Pass comes and says that it is terrible and useless and run off like total fools.

There are many people.here who think they gain respect by putting others down. As far as the bashing clan goes, that is somewhat true.

2014 now and I'm still getting attacked.

I joined port's survival server today just to have fun but then stupid Bushido says that he'll ban me if I start anything about my hosting service (which doesn't even exist!). I didn't say a word, I just had to join and then he targeted me. So I said that I didn't start anything and I wasn't planning to and I got perma banned by another sick idiot.

There are just people here who rip on certain "hated" users constantly, whenever they can. It just makes me feel sick when a great game like this is mixed with a horrible community. A community full of people who don't give second chances, and who hold grudges for years.

A community that hates the people inside it and rips them for eRespect? It's pathetic if you experience it yourself and really think about it.

I might play this game. Because I do enjoy it when there are good servers. But this community? Why should I participate in this idiocy full of shameless people?

I suggest you think about what this place actually is. I know that you will not, but at least try.

Please.

does this mean Pacnet hates himself?

No, that means that you're another clueless idiot who's a stupid member of this terrible community that needs to back off and thinks that I'm a clone of this guy: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?action=profile;u=135017  because he's my brother but you don't have a sibling or common sense so you don't have the ability to reason that two brothers who are living in the same house use the same internet access and have the same IP.

[sarcasm]

Of course I'm hammereditor! Because for the past few years I've OBVIOUSLY been puppetting two accounts which have completely different personalities and styles of writing that are active at the same time of day
I've made these accounts fight with each other online and I've grown 4 hands so I could have them play on the same server while doing different things.

I have brain transplants all the time so that I can think as two different people. I get transplants done every few minutes.

I've managed to trick at least one person by having two main accounts but UH OH there's no real benefit to doing this!

I ADMIT TO THIS. I AM HAMMEREDITOR AND I HAVE BEEN WASTING MY TIME SWITCHING BETWEEN TWO BODIES JUST TO PLAY GAMES WITH YOU FOR NO REAL BENEFIT! I ADMIT TO IT! AND ALL YOU STUPID BANDWAGONERS ARE RIGHT!

lol i cleared the ban lists for my servers a month ago, and he comes on a few days ago, and just immediately starts baiting me, saying stuff like "i hope tez doesn't spazz out", "why does tez hold grudges", and "your reputation is stuff"

i didn't say anything to him the entire time then just perma'd him, and he came back on his alts within seconds, as usual.  what a troll

You still can't deny that some things he said about you are 100% true. You do hold grudges for example. I will never forget what you did to me when I had done nothing wrong and you decided to hop on a bandwagon.

i HATE this society. We see these adults and parents everyday who know LESS about computers than us.

They're so freaking insecure. They pay so much money every year just to monitor what you're doing. Even if you paid for the item. It's just ridiculous.

What do they get out of it? Kids already know what love is and they know bad words, so simple mentions of words like that aren't catastrophic events where the US army needs to diffuse the situation.

I MEAN COME ON it's ridiculous. What do you get from blocking some website like "johniscool.com" ? Sure it's a shopping site but why should you block it?

For shopping sites and stuff like that, the students might want to research the prices of an item.
But no! Because according to the school staff, students can hijack the teachers' credit cards and use them to buy items online! WHAT AN AMAZING theory! It makes 100% sense!

Why do YOU GIVE A POOP if some student wants to find the price of an item, check for its existence or buy it with their OWN MONEY? HOW THE HECK does it matter?

Your child saw the F word! END OF THE WORLD OOOH OH NO HELP WE HAVE TO PUT HIM IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT AND ERASE THAT FROM HIS MEMORY OH MY GOD IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!

just COME on who cares? How will you let your child mature if he/she doesn't get any exposure to REAL LIFE? If you don't teach them things that happen in real life and words they will come across which are derogatory, they'll never learn it or mature.

These blocks don't work anyway, any kid can just search "how to bypass school filters" and realize that they can use Tor, their own proxy, or a VPN and get past them anyway.

These schools think that they will be criminally responsible if a student encounters something "bad" using their internet. Makes no sense anyway, they probably get el-cheapo internet based on the speeds and the fact that they are an educational facility, so why would they care?

DO NOT give a POOP about ANYBODY who tries to convince you not to do this.

Be creative. Don't care about what anyone in your class thinks about you. Do something different and PROVIDE an interesting way to help your classmates visualize an earthquake.

WHO CARES if it seems "out of place"? If you can design and build it correctly with messageAll events that state facts about the earthquake or its detection (such as a center print saying "A nearby seismograph predicts that an earthquake of magnitude xxx will....) or something neat like that.

As long as you let the players experience an earthquake with sound effects and provide some real information about them in the server, you're golden.

This is not impossible at all. If anyone tells you that, once again, dismiss their comment.

This is a great idea that you are undertaking. Make what you want and be as creative as you can.

Challenge the structure of  current education and do something unique, such as this project.

Education plus fun is simply a win-win situation. I highly suggest that you do this.

Maybe it will take some work, but it will pay off.

I would recommend:

-Go to http://blockland.us/files/BlocklandPortable.zip and extract it to a flash drive.

Bring this flash drive to school and see if it's even possible to run blockland on the school computers. This is a crucial step because if they can't, you'll need to change your plan.

If you fail, try lowering all settings to the minimum possible. Hopefully it will work.

-Assuming that you can run the game on the school computers, just save the blocklandportable package to each computer so that they can play it without administrative privileges.

And of course, as you know, you'll need to authenticate your copy of the game, make a lan server, and make everyone else a demo user who joins your lan server.

I hope you succeed. Just remember that innovation is what matters, not what some clown tells you who thinks he's a role model.

Off Topic / Re: Majority Groups in your school?
« on: March 14, 2014, 03:44:57 PM »
The Enthusiasts (I am in this group)
Are proficient in the usage of computers and personal devices. Do not necessarily act like "nerds", but are addicted to computers. Likely knows at least one real programming language such as C++. Might be skilled in computer hardware. Has at least one sandbox computer game that they are addicted to. All of them act strange in one day (i make squeaky noises, but not disgusting ones).

Most of them are straight A students, but do not study that hard. They don't give a poop about what other people think of them.

The Runners
They slam into you in the hallways, make obnoxious noises that are disgusting, always run in the hallways and chase each other frantically.

The "Nerds"
Usually is in A&E (Advanced and Enriched math program for 'genius' kids). They act like they are superior to everyone else and pretend to be what most people describe as "nerdy", although everyone knows that they are not. They imply that they are smarter than everyone else and act rude.

The Future Adult Entertainers
They wear shorts (usually denim) which go up to their buttocks. You can usually see some part of their underwear, and in extreme occasions the actual skin of their butt. They usually make folds from inside-out on their clothing and wear some kind of denim everyday. They wear boots every single day or at least every other day- these usually cost at least $200 and are usually UGGs. They tuck their pants into them of course (assuming that they even wear pants... sigh)

They usually wear pounds of makeup everyday and bring mirrors and makeup in their pencil cases.

If they cannot wear their extremely short shorts, they just wear jeans which have holes in them and you can see the white thread.

They usually get grades lower than a C. They brush their 5 foot long hair every 5 seconds.

When they walk they shake their butt from side to side on purpose just to act like... well... you know what.

They are very good at making people cringe at their stupidity. I wish they didn't exist.

Note: the members of this group often belong in the Baboons group as well.

Regular People
One of the best groups of people. Does not have any special interest. Does not act annoying. They don't act like fools. They use logical reasoning.
They usually get A's or B's but rarely anything lower. They try their best in school and don't give a poop about what other people think about them.

The Athletes
In the bus, they rant about football and basketball. Each one has at least one favorite major league sports team. They watch SportsCenter and ESPN every single minute that they are home.

They enroll in at least one sport team of the school, usually track and field or basketball. They are extremely athletic and excel in practically every single sport.

The Baboons
Usually, they get D's or lower, mainly F's. They share the same traits as the runners. They are often tribal to their own races.

Help / Re: How to host 2 dedicated servers at the same time?
« on: March 14, 2014, 03:17:17 PM »
Change the port with the

start BlocklandLauncher.exe -dedicated -port XXXXX

command line argument passed to the executable.

Also use different blockland folders for each one of the servers.

Someone post this video in G-Major, please.

I think I have the composer file... I can try if you want
