Very solid work.

...no

I was merely pointing out that you just stated that an opinion is a personal interpretation, also known as THE EXACT SAME THING
I was clarifying my initial response to Slammer1337. What is your point exactly?

wow, people thinking someone is a smart-ass "personal interpretation"?
By your own logic then, you believe that if someone comes across like a smart-ass to you, they do to everyone else too?

I disagree. It's completely in the eyes of the beholder.

This wasn't what I meant. There's a reason why I italicized the word something.
I'm not sure how I'm meant to interpret your post then. I've added what you have implicitly said in green below:
To be serious, using perfect grammar on a community forum about a video game just makes you look like a smartass.
    1. Using grammar on this forum makes you come across like a smartass
You're obviously trying to prove something.
    2. As a result of using grammar, I must be trying to prove something (have intent)
I wholly disagree. As I said, I do not assign intent (2) or emotion to someone's usage of punctuation/grammar. I completely agree with Bisjac in saying that it does not matter. My basic (by no means perfect) use of it is by my own choice, and I do not hold that standard to others. I believe you judging me as a smart-ass based on my punctuation (1) is a matter of personal interpretation.

Again, I think that's more attributed to your own interpretation. I don't assign emotions or intent to people based on whether or not they use basic punctuation. Seems a bit silly to be honest.

even your images have quote marks lol
It's almost as if those symbols are part of proper punctuation or something; weird right?

Because civilization and war go hand in hand. None of you are ever going to live in a world without conflict and the sooner you realize that instead of clinging to this delusion that we can all get together hold hands and sing kumbayah, the better off you'll be.
I would draw a distinction between conflict being ubiquitous vs 'not being a problem'.

Yeah well he locked the thread, so they have this one to insult him in.
Note that I posted that before he locked the topic.

Or realize that war isn't a problem.
Why not?

I am sorry that my behavior "isn't horrible", that you guys interpret what I say as "lofty", and that I did not want to perpetuate this drama thread.

Surely you could have just posted that in his drama thread instead of spreading it even further

yes, it was indeed needed.
It's certainly not bringing anything new to the table. They're already doing a fine job of arguing with/insulting him in his thread.
