Modification Help / Re: Mod creating download
« on: May 17, 2009, 10:07:17 PM »
You can make models using a program like Milkshape. It's $35, but worth it if you're going to be serious about making mods.

I recommend (How I first got into it) is changing the variables inside the spear code, Like I made the spear's brick explosion for 200 and radius 15, changed the damage and velocity around, and ended up with a spear that did 5 damage but would blow bricks/players to kingdom come.

I would just do that sort of stuff first to try and understand it, but MAKE SURE you keep a backup of the original spear (or anything else you mess around with.)

Have fun.

Thanks. So it'll "blockitize" things like cylinders and spheres?

Modification Help / Flatshading
« on: May 17, 2009, 04:28:51 PM »
Hey, I'm new to coding and modeling so I'd like to know exactly what flatshading is. I've read a bunch of topics on different ways to do it and how important it is, but I don't know what it actually does. I'm all prepared to get flamed for asking a probably nooby question, but before you do that could someone actually tell me what it is? Thanks.

Add-Ons / Cheezmeister's Colorset
« on: May 16, 2009, 12:03:41 AM »
Cheezmeister's Colorset Contains 64 Colors, 60 standard shades and four special shades. Every standard color comes with a transparent. Shades range from Reds to Blues to Yellows To Greens to Browns, along with an entire Grayscale. This Colorset also includes four specials, two Whites with reduced Opacity (So you can Kind Of see through them) and two Invisi-Paints.

Ever get tired of having to wrench a brick to turn rendering off? With this paint set, you won't have to! Just paint it with one of my two special paints and the brick will become completely invisible. Comes in white and black (for the wireframe, like when you hold a tool or brick).

Enjoy!
