hey my class read that book

My teacher reads it out loud while the rest of the class follows along. No discretion about the derogatory language either, so my class keeps it to themselves that my teacher says it like it is in the book.

love Chevelle, could never get into the new AiC without Layne, maybe its just cause I'm so used to hearing him on the records

Jerry Cantrell does a good job replicating Layne's style of vocals of all their songs post 2002.

Character Bio
Valen's younger years as a child were spent in the backwoods of Mack, Colorado. Having relied on his father as a rolemodel, he had been accustomed to outdoorsmanship and hunting at a very young age. This had helped him avoid being involved in the disfunctional family he was part of, and helped his parents cope with their family as well. However, his teenage life brought him extreme hardships after his mother was murdered when Valen was only 14. While his father continued protecting Valen and his sisters from his disfunctional family, who all inconveniently lived locally around Mack, Valen took responsibility to taking care of his sisters, taking charge in teaching them what his father taught him at a younger age.

Valen continued to care over his younger sisters after his father subsequently fell ill when Valen was 17. While his father still supported the household legally, Valen had to not only care for his father and his sisters, but work for the money to keep them from going homeless. Valen's father passed a year after falling ill, and Valen kept his promise protect his sisters from the legal and personal hardships he came across with the rest of his family as a young adult.

Valen left Colorado for Anchorage, Alaska in 1996, looking to prospect in a career that he could not only appreciate, but afford due to only 3 years of college enrollment, which he was forced to dismiss due to losing the funds to support a college enrollment. Valen found himself working on the coast of Juneau as a logger, as well as working for the Coast Guard's Search and Rescue Division during his months spent in Anchorage. He worked both of these jobs for 11 years, before setting out for Fairbanks to work with the U.S Forest Service as a forest ranger.

Having to have taken residence in Riverside before the Genemeter incident, Valen transitted between Riverside and Fairbanks during his initial career as a ranger. This transit also counted as his patrol route. Valen was never discharged from the Forest Service, and still works with an uncharted outpost outside of Fairbanks, however after the cordoning of the Fairbanks district, Valen found himself forced to stake out in Riverside for the harsh winter during the outbreak, and for years to come until the opportunity arrives for him to return to Colorado.
