I love fun facts like what you just mentioned. Here, I'll add my own!

Fun Fact: The American government has kept over a billion pounds of government cheese (haha) underground in Missouri since President Carter's administration. There was a dairy crCIA in the late 70s, with a 30% inflation that hammered the dairy industry. President Farter intervened and gave subsidies of over 2 billion dollars to the benefit of dairy farmers, causing an overproduction in cheese. That cheese had to go somewhere, so President Sharter decided put them under Missouri. I like that.

One theme I appreciate for June is Men's Mental Health Awareness month. It's also National PTSD Awareness month. Seems like a good amount of people have been mentally on edge in the last decade or so, especially compared to our parents/grandparents generations. Probably a lot to do with terrible housing markets, inflation that devalues our incomes, terrible ingredients in a lot of food, microplastics leaching into us from everything, and starting a family sometimes being seemingly impossible. There's probably plenty of other things to add to stress as well. Try to find time to meditate, spend time in nature like a park, pray with God during the day and before bed if he's in your life, and do some chill hobbies like walking and fishing. Bring a friend or two with you.

26 and im still with my folks, too. i often stay with my Grandma because she's kind of a hermit and would be lonely without me and one of my brothers. since im working and don't really pay any big bills for rent aside from electricity/utilities, the food i eat, and car payments, I'm able to save up a lot more from my job. Gonna try to get into the land surveying/CAD work field this or next year.

I get along easy with my parents/grandparents, so I really got no need to try and get my own place and spend more than necessary. That kind of pride is expensive.

Moved out and bought my first home at 22. Sold it in 2024 and bought my second home right after at the ripe age of 25
just curious but didn't you say your main job consisted of CAD work a few years ago?
