Yeah this same problem happened to me, I downloaded blockland and the first thing I was greeted to is Authentication: validating key, but I can play it fine on another computer, Did you check your antivirus trusts Blockland or if it's in administrator mode or windows compatibility mode?

Does your computer have parental block or are you not on an Administrator account?

How did you buy Blockland?
Was it through Steam? The official Blockland website? A service like Kinguin?

Do you have any addons downloaded?

Make absolutely sure BitDefenders Firewall is turned off.
And if Windows Firewall is also enabled for some reason, turn it off as well.

I tried threw an administrator account and the same result happened.
I bought Blockland threw steam.
No addons I downloaded and first thing I see is that.
And I checked firewall and Bitdefender and nothing they are both off.

worst comes worst, refund it and buy it off amazon. the amazon one uses an authentication key, which seems to be more reliable or at least easier to figure out what exactly is going wrong.

Well it might just be my computer because I find lots of problems with games lately, it might be windows 7, so like I said I might be getting a new computer soon but for now I'll just play on my laptop with windows 10...

Superfetch is when you wake up your computer the system starts caching stuff

I can't have it on because it constantly overloads disk usuage


Try disabling your antivirus program for a while and see if you still get stuck on authentication

I disabled Bitdefender and its still saying authentication...
I hope this will get fixed soon lol

This is the same problem I was just having.

Try the things I tried, specifically disabling superfetch service, then soft restarting your computer. It seemed to have fixed the problem, especially if you're like me and you tend to leave your computer running all the time.

I disabled superfetch and soft restarted my computer and its still saying authentication.

Alright I looked a bit on the internet again and can't really find an answer to this problem for people it just "magically" gets better. So if this doesn't get better soon then I'm just stuck with my laptop until I get a new computer.

My ISP is bell and at my grandmas its either bell or Cogeco I made sure that my firewall and Bitdefender trusted Blockland,
I live in Canada, Ontario.

I bought Blockland about a week ago on steam and every time I run it says Authentication: Validating key..., I tried multiple times to reinstall, restart and even updated my drivers, I put it on windows 7 compatibility mode, I set it to run on administrator I used an administrator account and installed it into another folder and... nothing, when I try to enter an online game it either says "Connecting to ####### or it says I can not connect to master server,  then I went to my grand parents house and tried my laptop there and it works fine there but it's a slow computer so I have to put everything on low and it looks ugly lol.

I really want to try out Blockland it looks like a really fun and enjoyable game and it kinda reminds me the old days of Roblox.

Oh and by the way I tried that Blockland.us thing and it pops up "Blockland.us" at the top left corner if that's what it's suppose to do...
