Well, I forwarded the ports anyways, even though they didn't exist anymore, and it worked. Strange, but effective. Thanks.

By shutting off my router's firewalls, i have no ports to forward.....

I'm experienceing a very peculiar issue hosting a server, and can't pin-point the cause. I started by completely shutting down all my firewalls, including the one in my router, which negates the need to port forward, and still no luck. I'm able to host a server occasionally, but 90% of the time, it shows up dead. I also checked my TCP/IP properties, and everything checks out fine. My ISP is also ruled out with thourough ping testing and line checks. Any ideas?
