Ah if that's the case, reset your ati to factory settings. Torque and ATI's features don't really mix.

Ahh, this actually worked. Finally some useful input on the matter. I reset it then started changing the settings one by one. The problem appears to be caused for ati users with the setting catalyst A.I. In order to get the terrain to show up and opengl working on the game disable that and put the mip map settings to performance and not quality.

Update video card drivers.  Buy a new computer.

Such a great fix. Also what is with admins of forums assuming drivers=fix? On another note I think I would need an older computer not newer. >_>

I had a computer a long time ago where it worked back when a 1.8 processor and fx5200 was top of the line. My brand new one it doesn't work on. :( I tried 32 bit and 64 xp professional with my 8 gigs of ram and dual 4850's with crossfire disabled and enabled which made no difference. Also tried it with 1 core enabled instead of all of mine.

Can I atleast get responses that would be serious fixes or workarounds instead of the standard everyones an idiot clearly drivers aren't updated or blame vista!? If it seems like a settings fix i've already tried it and it will eaither A) Crash or B) Not make a difference.

Aready tried that and it just instantly crashes with opengl. So unless theres a way to fix that crash which happens at loading data blocks. I need a different workaround. I also tried virtually all settings with opengl to get it to work.
