Alright, Rykuta has set me as organizer.

This week's status:  Brainstorm tutorial ideas and write them down here.  Say weather they can be instruction movies or slideshows, whatever.  Add scripts (speaking, not modding).

Post all ideas on the Steam Group's Profile.

Why didnt you use the pics I edited for the profile pic? I dont really care, but is it just because we havent decided which one yet, and if that is the case, we need a new poll.

Also, I can do some beginners scripting and modeling tuts.

well so far you guys have put to much effort into a loving banner image for your project.
prob the least important thing.

you are missing the content, that the past failures have at least had tons of.

We've only been thinking up ideas, and making pics is a good way to do that. If you disagree, stop posting, we're just trying to help some of the younger/newer players become better and more respectful.

we have had many noob training clans, forum topics, servers, fan sites, videos before.
this whole organized thing you guys are planning has been done before.

maybe you guys should find out why they all failed before you try it again...

But I dont think we will.


Also, I agree that the text doesnt look that good, but I have to go, so tell me what you want me to change and Ill do it tommorow if I can.

Is it really worth realistic clouds, its blockland lol, but anyway, that would be sorta difficult to edit in. I can add some cool text if you want though?


And for the image size, I would just start the group, and check in the settings.

EDIT: By the way, by my version, I ment the one I did first, and I didnt even end up doing that anyway, worked out a better way to do it.

Also, Nerest Neighbor is when you dont get partially see-thru pixels, they are all solid colours. And my ingame name is Roarz, RFW2 was just my name when I was about 11 and I started playing BL. I was probably such a noob back then xD

EDIT: Im gonne centre them perfectly cus they are a bit out(or at least the first is).

EDIT 2: Its gonna be harder to do that, so if you jst want them those sizes, ill use my version and crop and redo background all at once.

I was thinking of a yellowish-orange to red gradient sky, with the orange at the bottom and ascending to red with some light, high clouds that are like lines. I wanna see if this is in a skybox already.

EDIT: Photoshop ftw, and if you give more detail with the cloud thing, I can do that. Im sorry but I dont really know what you mean.

Maybe a gentle gradient that is lighter around the players and darker at the edges??

I came to look at the forums, having not played Blockland since the day befor Xmas, having only just heard about the new shading/shadows, but I came into general discussion, and saw this topic. Anyway, I hosted a decent server in december(a winter/xmas Trench CTF/TDM) and I got about 15 people to join a couple of times, and it was at the top of the server list for a while, but Im not that good a builder, and my internet wasnt too fast, so I couldnt expand on it and as a result it sortof died down. I totally agree with the whole thing about people hosting terribly made servers, getting all the top places on the server list, and I wish there was a group of people who would get together and make a few high quality servers, and I would be willing to help. I have noticed though, having been on BL since v10/v11 I have noticed the number of badly made servers rise along with the number of people buying blockland. In a way, I think you should still have to forward your ports, because it sort of gets rid of all the 9 year olds that host. I have no problem with them playing, and buying the game, but I think it was because of that that I drifted away from BL.
