Help / Re: Blockland audio files are not being called correctly
« on: August 15, 2012, 01:44:10 PM »
Well! As of Blockland v21 build 1701 the audio mix up errors have stopped. Looks like this was either a one-time error, or it was fixed in the patch. Oh well, problem solved!

It's all right.
No more piano sounds.
Brix clix instead.

I now see what you mean, the menu sounds were intentionally changed and this wasn't part of the error. Thanks for your help!

But is this intentional, or is it an error? This also doesn't explain the other mixed sounds.

Help / Blockland audio files are not being called correctly
« on: August 15, 2012, 01:10:31 AM »
My problem is simple. When the latest update came out [V21 R1691], the audio files do not play correctly in-game. The main menu sound are sound like I'm placing a brick, when I'm placing a brick it sounds like the gunshot, so on and so forth. I've gone through steps to try and correct the error myself, but I haven't the foggiest of whats wrong.

Steps I've taken to resolve the problem
  • Restarted Blockland
  • Disabled all non-default Add-ons
  • Updated all drivers and windows products
  • Restarted the computer
  • Checked that the OpenAL file was working
  • Removed the base\data\sound folder and allowed to redownload
  • Removed all folders \ files and allowed to redownload
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Blockalnd with no files left over from previous install
  • Redownload the launcher and reinstalled Blockland with no files left over from previous install
  • Rerouted audio output through a different output device

I've even sifted through the console.log and launcher.log for errors to no avail. The only thing I can see come up is in the console.log, line 21.

I would say its something in the game's code of the most recent patch, but what do I know. If someone could tell me whats wrong with Blockland and if its fixable, that would be just swell.

Here seems to be the problem. Try updating your graphics card to the latest driver. That mumbled gunk  after you place a 1x1 block must be a render error.

From your OpenGL version, it looks like you have a built-in Intel Graphics card and/or your playing from a laptop. If you can give me your graphics card type, i can track down the proper download.

Cheers!

Reenter your blockland key given to you. If you don't have it anymore, simply request it again here.
Enjoy!

Try posting your log, it could be a bad add-on or file

The log is called CONSOLE and should be in your main Blockland folder.

I would try to update your graphics card drivers. You can normally find them on their website. For more information see the page http://blockland.us/driverUpdate/index.html

« on: February 14, 2011, 09:50:23 PM »
Do you have the RTB mod?

Get it here : ==> http://www.returntoblockland.com/download.php?go

Folow these instructions

Quote from: RTB
If you're unsure about how to install add-ons for Blockland, follow these instructions precisely.

1:) Click the link above to download System_ReturnToBlockland.zip to your computer.
2:) Find the location of your Blockland folder.
3:) Drag or copy System_ReturnToBlockland.zip into the Add-Ons folder which is inside your Blockland folder.
4:) Open Blockland and make sure that RTB was installed correctly.

Now start blockland and you can download from inside of game, all the moving of files is done for you.

Or, am i an idiot and THIS is the part you need help with...

Help / Error in polygon clipper
« on: February 14, 2011, 12:14:05 AM »
I've been having a strange error lately

When in the bedroom map and building i start a :onclick event or try to quickly pull up a window, such as a the blocks menu, the program freezes with the error [ERROR: CSGPlane::clipWindingToPlaneFront: error in polygon clipper]. The only way to get out of blockland it to kill the program from taskmanager.  Now, i have a OVER THE TOP computer. It can easily handle blockland running while computing the meaning of life, but this kills it completely. The condole log is included, 90% of it is deleted cause it was the error.

Also, from looking at the file [setCurrentQuotaObject - no 'insert your random 7 char number' QuotaObject] happens allot to if it helps...

P.S. DONT tell me to update ANY drivers. 100% of them are up to date, I AM SURE...

Much thanks
