AoT General / Re: Skills
« on: May 27, 2006, 12:58:11 AM »
I dont know if this is going to be implemented or anything but think it would be cool if we could have building and crafting skills.Say I find some clay and a mining cave.I mine in the cave and get some shards of iron carve then into bricks and put it all together with the clay and make a oven go back to the mine get some iron ore put it in the oven wait till it gets hot take it out and put it on a anvil or something and beat it with a hammer and then you can make a sword right there.thats like 4 skills right there.Clay-making,mining,carving,swordsmithing.

Oh, my god... He wants to turn us into Runescape. (Noooooo!)

Dear Badspot,

I would like to bring to your attention that the community is very confused of when the new updates will be out, what will be in them etc.
In this case, not trying to copy WoW - Gw or anything but; don't you think before every patch, you can make a simple list of "what will come out" so everyone gets super excited?

For example:

Battleplan (or called like Patch notes) 67.2:

Implemented in the next patch will be as follows:
- New Weather Effects
- Male Models
- New Castle
- Fortbad will now contain a boss
- Arena has been fixed
- Shop now contains new weapon: Sword of the Wild
- Party system

Etc?
It would inform the community, also making the community want to wait so they can see the new things that are coming out; which in turn creates a more enthusiastic community. It also benefits on your part so you don't have to keep answering questions on what will be in the new patch.

I like this idea.

AoT General / New playable race: Orc?
« on: May 27, 2006, 12:34:48 AM »
I don't know about anybody else, but I think it's a great idea.
I was chatting with a freind on msn, who said he had played AoT. He said (besides suggesting males, but I figure there's already been a lot of topics about that) how he thought the game would improve to see non-human/elf characters being played besides as a enemy/npc.

I was thinking about this for a while, and figured I liked the idea.
Playing as an Orc.

Maybe you could test it out by using the default Orc model used for the enemy version, then if people take to the idea, a new (better) model could be introduced.

What do other people think?
