Help / UPnP Initialization failing on server, not allowing connection
« on: July 02, 2013, 11:56:22 AM »
So when I go to start up my server (dedicated or not), it gives me an error when the "Initializing UPnP" section begins. I have no idea how to decipher it or what it means, but when I try to connect to my dedicated server I can't, and other people can't connect to my server if it's hosted through the client. How do I fix it?

Code: [Select]

Okay, figured it out. But my brother's getting all mad because he keeps lagging out on my server. I don't lag out, and I'm pretty sure no one else does, but would something be wrong with his computer or is it on me?

Nevermind, I got it running and everything and I'm able to connect, but none of the addons are enabled. Should I copy ALL of the files from my Blockland directory into the server directory? It looks like it has everything but I'll check again and test.

Ok so I got it up and running, put my key in, copied the config from my Blockland directory into the dedicated server, and launched it again. But now it won't let me connect in game. It doesn't connect to the server at all.

So I tried running the shortcut and it says "Try running the game from the launcher."

Sorry, I meant to say files, not mods.

So I could create the directory, put the shortcut in it, add the -dedicated, and then add -profilePath with the path to the directory I put the shortcut in after it, and then copy the mods into it?

Just making sure I understand it all.

You don't have to do that. You can always make the dedicated server to make the directory for you.

So is there a way to make the dedicated server create the directory that uses all of the addons I have selected for the non-dedicated server?

Wait, do I just completely copy my whole BL directory and make the shortcut?

When I create the new directory for the server, I copy my Addons folder into it, correct?

Is there a different way of setting up a dedicated server now? I searched my comp and can't find the dedicated server launcher. Please help, I really want to set up a dedicated server so I don't have to be in it constantly.

I don't know if this helps, but in the console right after crashing it prints "Error reading PNG file: IDAT: CRC error"

Help / Crashing on Joining or Hosting a server

Before the update, everything was fine and I could join and host servers normally. But now, whenever I try to join or host a server, it crashes with a Runtime Error. I turned on and off the shaders, changed different preferences, etc. but it still crashes. Can someone help?  :panda:

Help / Re: v20 Launcher (hated by Norton)

Okay well my bro has Norton and he didn't get an error, and I know BL is safe so I just went to details, clicked options at bottom, and chose to restore the file and exclude it from scans.
