Its much more expensive. Are you an independant developer, or are you running some kind of company?
so you payed like $550QuotePricing
Indie
TGE 1.4.2 base price - $100
TGE 1.4.2 upgrade for previous TGE owners - $0
TGE 1.5 base price - $150
TGE 1.5 upgrade for previous TGE owners - $50
TGE 1.5 upgrade for previous TGE + TLK owners - $25
TGE 1.5 upgrade for purchases of TGE or TLK since August 1, 2006 - $0
And its really not that bad of a game engine. I'd say its one of the best you can get for $150.
Commercial
TGE 1.4.2 upgrade for previous Commercial TGE owners - $0 - download here
TGE 1.5 Commercial base price - $749 - purchase here
TGE 1.5 Commercial upgrade for previous TGE owners - $250 - purchase here
TGE 1.5 Commercial upgrade for previous TGE + TLK owners - $125 - purchase here
TGE 1.5 upgrade for purchases of Commercial TGE or TLK since August 1, 2006 - $0 - download here
You payed like $500 for that...hehe, i already have the commercial 1.5...GODDAMMIT why do they charge? lack of donations?
Donations? They're a business, not a charity. You can't expect them to work for free forever, and considering 1.5 has TLK and showtool pro integrated into it, it's a pretty good deal. If you don't need it, don't buy it - stick with 1.4.2 or 1.3, they're both perfectly capable and several games have shipped using them.
The fact remains that you can't even come close to matching Torque's capabilities for the price.
i have to tell you that the mirrors are the best function ever
