They are meant for basic use computers.

If you think your hard drive is dying, do back-ups. A LOT. Once a hard drive craps out, its hard to get the files off it.

I once got scared by my furnace while I was in bed. I thought I heard a bang, and thought it was the furnace malfunctioning, but it was just the laundry machine.
Im always scared of the burners clogging and exploding. It WAS built in 1967, and hasn't been cleaned in who-knows-how-long.
