Your brother gave you an operating system? What about a computer to put it on?

Okay, my brother just gave me his computer. He is using a Windows 7 laptop now.
And about the researcho virus,  my dad called a group of people in order to fix it up. I dont know what else i did with that computer. I just put it in my closet.
And i don't know how i could fix the water on the old Vista laptop, I remember that night when i spilled water on it, i was like "forget" and i told my parents about it. And when they were trying to fix it, i remember it just making weird boop noises. If i can really fix it, since it is still in my moms room, can you tell me?

I destroyed i think like 3 computers, 1 with a researcho virus, 1 by spilling water on it, and i forgot the others. Atleast my bro gave me this awesome Vista.
