The Continuation

Reaching the point where I think the server can be opened up. Now finished up with the beginning section. Reaching the area where Gordon runs through city blocks to escape from Combine.

Alpha testing of the server is coming soon. Until then, more progress images.

The pack is Red Sorceress' skyboxes. It's a pack of several environments.

Is that cityscape in the back of the 4th image like a skybox or something? Pretty cool overall!

It's a skybox from a pack of environments that I honestly forgot the name of. If you want, I'll look through and let you know what pack it's from.

Another Project I Probably Won't Finish

After the tragedy of Hunt Down the Freeman (goty 2018) and the simple death of Half Life 3, I felt the urge to make a build after Half Life 2, trying to remodel the entire game. Right now, I've gotten a majority of the starting area with the trainstation done.

Of course, it isn't just a display -- it's actually playable with fully scripted events and Combine. I plan on making a good portion of the campaign.

Here's some screenshots of what I have so far.

this pack of guns is gorgeous i love the way the guns work and want to use them in conjunction with TotalRPG events

but when i set up the events (onbotdeath>client>addgold)

the player doesnt receive gold when using any of the SWeps, which i find really weird, is this something you can fix?

i've tried it with other weapons, and they all work fine, but using an SWep results in receiving no gold.

Help / Blockland keeps opening into full screen

Been having this problem despite several installations and keyboard checks.

It only occurs when I'm building or something similar. I'll press the alt key to go into super shift, put down a couple of bricks and the screen turns black, and Blockland takes about five minutes and turns into full screen mode. I go back to normal windowed mode and it works fine, but I'll start building again and it takes me back to full screen. Back and forth matter, too. I've tried just staying in full screen, but it'd move me back to windowed mode.

I kept checking my advanced controls and normal controls for any type of shortcut that'd bring me into fullscreen that I've been accidentally pressing, but I see nothing.

Is there something I'm doing that leads me into full screen? I'm using the default control scheme, with a laptop keyboard.

General Discussion / A Sci-Fi RPG

After spending about a month on a shooter RPG, I'd like to take a break to create another project. Instead of being based on modern times, it'd be more in the future, and it'd use somewhat futuristic weaponry too.

I'm a somewhat skilled builder, so I'd like to try and construct this. The story is going to be based around humanity branching out to other planets in the solar system, but an unknown force pushing them back. The play will be a soldier/investigator sent out to the planets to find out what's going on.



I'm open to recommendations and I'd like to go over ideas for this, and fix the plot. I've also attached some images of what I can do.
