I've been looking at installing xubuntu, is that any better?
It looks a little more lightweight but it's still based on Ubuntu.

Not trying to be dismissive, but use Ubuntu if you want to use linux.
In my opinion Ubuntu sucks. It's goal is to be a Windows replacement for the common people. By trying to do that it becomes to bloated and really negates Linux's advantage of being streamlined and lightweight.

It has nothing to do with processing power or memory, the iPhone has hardware designed to decode video.

What engine does it have?

OT; my aunt has that car in red, solid roof, I've only driven it once. Compared to my 2006 c70 Volvo, her car is SO much more cooler, even if the MPG, engine and height off the road is stuff. How much did you pay for it? You know that's a discontinued model.
Your Volvo is still way cooler.

I'm pretty sure everybody is annoyed by most of these things. While I totally understand that Misphonia is a real thing, I doubt that OP really has it.

First of all, the video posted in the OP is a sensationalist news story, and it should be taken with a grain of salt.

Let's look at how OP responds to sounds that annoy him:

What you don't seem to be understanding is that this is not just being extra-annoyed at sounds and people. It literally and physically irks me. It's not exactly pain, but it comes with a physical feeling. My shoulders twitch sometimes when I'm triggered and annoyance alone doesn't do that

and compare it to how a person who actually has Misophonia responds:

http://misophonia.info/symptoms-and-triggers/
Quote
The response has been described as a reflexive emotional flood of rage and panic with a storm of fight-or-flight reactions becoming paramount. Adrenaline flooding, face flushing, heart-pounding and/or shaking and the need to physically flee or attack are often experienced. The mindful thoughts that the emotional reflex/response is unreasonable given the facts of the stimulus is often actually harmless come only after the fight-or-flight response is in full force and the affected person may find themselves in a constant mode of “talking themselves down” into a normal state of calm.

They don't seem anything alike to me.

How OP describes it sounds exactly like the description of being annoyed, which everyone experiences. It appears that people with Misophonia are not just annoyed, that actually have a panic attack or mental breakdown.

You're listening to a pre-recorded sample, not a real radio station.

The only people who have problems with teachers are the people who are always getting in trouble and the people who think their right and need to talk back. Usually if you don't give teachers any trouble they won't bother you.

From personal experience it seems like the teacher I've had in honors/AP classes are much more chill because they know the students taking these classes are responsible enough to handle themselves.

The gas on the Escape is actually pretty good. It has FlexFuel, so it goes a while on a tank of gas.
FlexFuel just means it can run on E85 fuel. E85 may be a little cheaper per gallon, but you actually get less Miles per gallon.
