yeah so I tryed it on my friends computer (he live on the campus too ) it did the same thing , 3000+ pings ! , damnn I can't play this game on university :(

oh ok , nice thx man i'll check that out , what you are saying makes sense also , that's what I meant by semi-Blocked cause when I download Torrents it's really slow because of that port thing you mentioned :) i'll check it out on my friends computer

Guys , I did go in a server , the response time (ping) was about 3 seconds so i guess 3000 as a ping = 3 seconds delay.. Anyways , the other games I play work perfectly , like I said , Cs-Source , Bf2 and all other online games work with a nice 100 or less ping...
My opinion is that the ports are semi-blocked or something ... !

hey guys , all my other games work with a ping of 100 or less (half-life 2 , bf2 , guildwars ) I mean this ain't normal , the University Server is really really quick , what I thought it could be is that the port is blocked or something ... i dunno?

I recently bought the retail version of this game at my parents house , everything worked fine (good pings on almost every server ) and it was crazy fun ! But now that I'm at the University again , the pings of every server are CRAZY high. I can't get a server with a ping lower than 3000 !
But one thing you should also know it's that one time today I have found a server with a ping of 150...joined it and it worked perfectly , but that's the only server I've seen workable and it's gone now
Please if anyone has any help or suggestions , how could I fix this ????
(btw I can't forward ports since I am on a University Networks :S)
