« on: January 04, 2010, 08:28:19 PM »TBH I'm just really damn curious as to why you guys keep making these 'mods' to old engines instead of just settling for what everyone else is playing.
It's not a mod, it's a new game. Also, it's not the old engine, it's a newer engine that Blockland has (we have 1.5, while Blockland has 1.3).
We don't want anything from freebuild, we want to sit on our forum and call it stupid. Nobody asked you for anything or to even visit here.
Fine. You invited me, whether you meant to or not, by criticizing my game. I think I deserve the right to defend it just as much as you would yours.
So what we made a thread about how horrible your game is, no one spammed your forums. What we cant have our opinions about your game without you getting a troll to post his testicles? Not only has this proven the FB community immature but how much of idiots you really are, if your expecting to make a stuffty stolen over crapped up jerky modified game you cant go off telling every person that judges it how much of idiots they are, lets take Roblox for an example they call our game stuff but you don't see Badspot and Ephi going on Roblox forums telling them how much more stuff their game is. Now go back and make your game while we continue to sit here and harmlessly judge it.
First of all: you didn't even play the game while judging it. It doesn't seem reasonable for you to pass judgement on something you couldn't have played. You can have all the opinions you want. We did not ask the troll to troll, as I had said in previous posts. In fact I requested that he stopped multiple times. That is one person from the old TOB/TBM community. We moved to a more mature site, and we hope that move changes our community to be a more mature, responsible one. I don't understand how it is automatically a "stolen over crapped up jerky modified game". We have almost no content from the old blockland, besides a few models and a bit of art here or there, all of which we are working to remove, and will probably remove quite soon. Blockland started from the same codebase, which shatters your logical circle that Freebuild is horrible because we started the same place your "Game from god" started. We were calling you idiots because you passed judgement on a game that you hadn't even played. You were being absolutely unreasonable, and it's a pity that you don't address that. Absolutely we don't, and I never said that Retail is a bad game; in fact I said it was a good game (perhaps the reason I bought it?), and that I had great respect for it. In fact you're judgement isn't harmless because it harms our userbase. We might have some people coming to try out our game from your community, only you spread these falsehoods like it's nobody's business. How are we going to get more people to play when you are claiming there's a virus in our game? You're worse than Fox news in that respect.
I am not bashing Blockland, I am simply asking you all to have a reasonable debate about the merits of our respective games. If you don't like the game, and have a reason to do so, then fine. I hope you won't mind if I try to help sweep away some of the false beliefs you and I may have.
