is poison much worse in DS2? I havent played DS1 but in 2 it melts your health, where toxic melts it at double speed
Its awful in all of the games.

Its one mechanic that I would be happy to see gone.

how did everyone have so much trouble with the black gulch
i died once to it when forlorn or whoever the first guy is came out, fire arrows made the hand guys non-existant, the giant worms were easy, the second invader was easy, and then you get a bonfire right before the rotten (who is also super easy he has no gimmicks and just tries to hit you with a cleaver)
I dont think people necessarily had trouble, its just that the zone is super annoying.

Its the same reason people dislike the Capra Demon fight in DS1 so much. Its a super easy encounter, but the loving dogs make it a pain in the ass.

Speaking of blighttown The Gutter and Black Gulch (Namely Black Gulch ) Were such a pain in the ass. Having that constant poison is such a pain, not to mention Black gulch had a metric forget ton of the statues and those 2 invaders, which ended up personally being the hardest invaders to kill solely because of the poison. Its such a small area but I hate it so so much. At least Harvest valley's poison was by choice and didn't knock you back/stun you randomly.
Thats the issue with Black Gulch.

Most other zones at least require *some* skill. And after 300+ hours in DS2, it has basically become a zone where I just race to the bonfire and cross my fingers that I dont die.

Im looking to buy parts for a new pc this week with a budget of like $900 and some wiggle room.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/K7bbNG

This is the build I currently have and I guess I just want suggestions/recommendations. The current build leaves me like 100 dollars that I can play around with and still be in budget.
Quoting for new page. Probably gonna buy the parts in an hour or two, looking for any other suggestions.

Don't get a Seagate HDD. Get almost anything else.
I was honestly thinking about dropping the HDD altogether and just getting a big SSD.

Im open to suggestions.

looks great to me, i've got the same CPU and it is a huge powerhouse
Thats good to hear. I mainly just want to be able to play Witcher 3/Dark Souls 3/Ect on pretty high settings without any lag or anything. Im hoping this build will allow that.

In the 5 years I've owned this game I've only really played it on my PS3, now that I have a decent computer I can mod it. Anyone have any good mods for Fallout New Vegas?
Project Nevada is a must.

There are a bunch of other good ones that I cant think of currently, though. So I'd just browse the top mods on the Nexus for awhile.

Fallout 1 is from an era where reading the manual was required
Its honestly not that hard to figure out though. I was like 7 when I played it and I was able to figure it out.

Since there's no real Fallout thread, I thought I'd just report in here;

I cannot figure out how anybody played Fallout 1. I just tried it, and there's no tutorial regarding the controls or the gameplay mechanics (I worked out action points work differently, but is the game turn-based or what?). I guess I need the manual, but come on lads.
Because when it came out people werent stupid and could use basic intuition to figure it out.

the one that lets you see the words you're saying. having to guess from four 1-2 word choices and having your character say something you don't mean is infuriating.
The only thing about that mod that makes me sad is you'll soon realize how many dialogue choices are exactly the same.

All the user mod does is say the full sentence so you know exactly what you are going to say. Jumping to the "YOU NEED A USER MOD" conclusion is stuffty.
and in the vanilla game you don't know exactly what you're going to say.
either way there is a lack of skill based/perk related dialogue.
I'm also really not a fan of images that purposely make the game look worse than it is to people who haven't played it

Especially ones that were made 5 months before the game even came out
I don't think the images make the game look bad, it just shows the regressive nature of bethesda games.

A stuffty comparison, try doing that but with the mod that replaces those options in fo4 with the full sentences.
I dont think its a stuffty comparison when you need a user made mod to fix it.

I think the album also shows that in past games there is unique dialogue based on your perks/SPECIAL, while in Fallout 4 there is none.
And no, Charisma doesnt count.
