I haven't played in a while, and I just logged on to discover that my key begins validating and never finishes. :(

I'm stuck on the part where you have to get to the electrical outlet. I got inside once and got to the electric city (level 43), but a sparky hit me with a shock ray and I fell out the socket. Now I can't get back in because I already used the jump plate outside. How do I get back in?
You can see the gray jump plate on the floor, and the electric rope to the outlet, but the rope kills me if I touch it.

They're called artifacts. They're caused by a dieing graphics card, bad drivers, or too many rendered shapes and textures. I sometimes get them on badspot's block party.
