Lare, I need the build rights. My house isn't my house anymore :(

I'm afraid it's gone. Empty space, no tile even :(

Must have been lost in one of the great server crashes.

Sorry, but I'm not going to ban anyone while I'm not there, if one of my trusted admins were there, that'd be a different story.

Understandable.

Lastly, did someone load a save, or did the server just disappear and then come back? (I saw it was down on the server monitor, but I couldn't do anything)

The server went down at one point, then came up a few minutes later entirely intact.

Also, to let you know, I cleaned up the tile to remove all those extra bricks: I had them around to make digging a basement hole easier, and wasn't going to keep them around for long.

That doesn't look like an Air Ship. Make it like a Blimp and I'll be happy.

I think you're a bit confused, I don't believe he's referring to the airship of reality, but rather the Airship of Final Fantasy fame (which looks like a boat with helicopter-style props).

For that purpose, it does quite splendidly-- reminds me of one of the Red Wings. Been playing FF4 lately, Bismark?

Hey Lare,

Masterblock spent awhile on the server tonight with no discernible purpose save annoyance. I'm not sure if he's given anyone else trouble, but his BLID is 6609 if you wouldn't mind banning him.

EDIT: Also, does anyone know what color palette Lare's server is using? It's amazing and I want it.
EDIT2: Found it. For others who might want: http://www.blockland.us/smf/index.php?topic=25648.0

Also, my house is finished. What dark things loom in the depths?

Well, nothing yet. Coming this weekend though!

I already have a build in Tile Town that I would like to continue, its by the the river, kiddy corner from Rads meeting place.
My ID is 1050

Oh and whats Dwarf Fortress?  Is it Mac compatible?

It's pretty much the best game ever, if you can make it past a few things.

It's actually two games: a very deep roguelike/adventure game with the best combat I have ever seen; and a city-building simulation with dwarves.

I haven't played the roguelike much at all, but it gets rave reviews for it's depth and style.

Fortress Mode is by far the most popular way to play the game. Starting with 7 dwarves of self-chosen professions with a loadout you designed, you create a fortress in a mountain, on a beach, in a forest-- wherever you want. You move form a small, bustling trader community to a towering dwarven city, fighting of sieges and monsters, building an army, crafting armor, and making Legendary items and rooms.

The game is intentibrown townly displayed with ASCII characters; this can be circumvented, but the ASCII is by far the best way to view the game. Eventually the cluster of letters and punctuation gives way to a Matrix-Reading-like intuition of what's going on in the game, and actually ends up being clearer for lack of sprites.

The Wiki page for the game is below, with guides, information, and download links.

Also, the Penny-Arcade Forums thread. A wealth of information and pictures. SA has one too, if you're a member.

EDIT: I just realized I ignored your most important question: Yes! It is Mac-compatible. As far as I know, the Mac builds are released same time as the Windows binaries.

EDIT2: Also, thanks Laremere! Hope to be on tonight.

Applying for a building permit -- my best completed endeavor is below. It is, unfortunately, an older version, before I added some other little touches (gave it a sort of decrepit, ancient appearance with some fallen pillars and the like), but nevertheless a fair build.
