I'd use Photoshop 7.0, make the shape, save as a .PNG, and make Opacity lower.

Simple question. Its as simple as getting Paint.NET (The GIMP, Photoshop, etc.), and making the color you had in the backround (White, Blue, Red, Black, etc.), to 0% Opacity.

The only thing you can do, it turn the grass ratio (In Options>Advanced) to 0.000. Well, there are some other options.
