I'm going to temporarily get back to the original topic to share something I did a week after Badspot released the game.



Ran through the game for the third time on "Difficult" without dying, after Badspot fixed the bug that caused "Professional" difficulty to not unlock.  I had a bit too much fun playing, clearly.

There's a copy of the image attached to this post in case the imgur link goes dead at some point.  You know, for those people in the future that care about the minutia occurring on a game forum.

Who remembers Marioguy0's Boss Shop

For those who don't remember, it looks like this.



The upper thing is more similar to the Normals team shop, and the lower thing looks way cooler from the exterior (and kinda cool on the inside, too) at the expense of having a much higher brick count.  The idea here was to have the upper room contain power-up items such as "30 seconds of Chaos Armor" and have the lower room contain boss classes that are tweaked versions of existing ones, having benefits and drawbacks, but overall being a little bit more powerful.  Maybe we could stick the old Mocheeze in there.

The original quote in which you were referring to was posted by Pecon, and more importantly, you snipped out the front of the line which indicated that some dude named "Ry" was the original source.

I would have just assumed you didn't want to bother actually quoting from Pecon, but given that you modified the line in the way you did, I'm more inclined to believe you just wanted to try and create the illusion that Jetz said it personally.  You then seem to have proceeded to use this idea that Jetz was the original source of the quote to try and make fun of him here:

Outright fabricating information and then trying to use it to gain some kind of conversational advantage is ridiculous.  If you're going to be doing this, do it to in the right context.  Ry isn't involved here, so it makes no sense.  You could have also clarified what you were trying to say.

I didn't "insult your friends." I pointed out that the admin team was flawed in a well-mannered post and you got all defensive and took it personally. And once again you're taking it personally by thinking I'm out to get "your friends." You're starting to make yourself look silly running in circles like this.

Any friendship between Jetz and the people you may or may not be insulting is irrelevant in my opinion, because even if you're insulting somebody that just so happens to also be the friend of another person, you're insulting that other person's friend.  It is a technicality that can go with or without being said.

As far as I can tell, you're discontent because your application was denied six months ago.  If you want to provide some constructive criticism instead of simply pointing a finger and declaring that what you see must certainly be terrible, please do so.

Okay, as for the ladder setup thing, I've experienced something similar.  On a few occasions, I've had the ladder move an extra position after it should have stopped moving.  So, let's say that I enter the bonus game and Mario cycles from top to bottom once, returns to the top, and then when he gets back to the bottom again I stop him.  The ladder should always be on the floor above him, bridging the x2 bonus floor and the x1 bonus floor, not coming between him and the x3 bonus.  However, for reasons I cannot explain, the ladder will sometimes be moved to the floor he's at, the bottom one, without the blocker object being in place which would force him to go up and get the x2 bonus.  This allows the player to run him forward to get the x3 bonus and then run back to the ladder, head up to the upper level, and grab the x2 bonus before being forced out of the bonus game.

I hope this helps clear up how to figure out this issue.

Looked through the thread to see if anybody else had this issue, saw nothing.

I beat "Difficult" mode with zero extra lives and 4,963 coins, and even though the game said it unlocked "Professional" mode, I can't access it.  The config file also still has the value for "professionalUnlocked" set to 0.  I didn't have any issues when the game unlocked "Difficult" mode, and the value in the config file is not 0.

I'm calling it a bug.  Would be nice to get some confirmation from somebody else about this, or else just have Badspot look into it.

Previous Experience Administrating:  Scattered Space moderator, active.  Aside from that, I have built up experience starting in a freebuild server that no longer exists.  Since then, I've been an admin on various other small servers, including CityRP servers and others that have a one-mod gameplay approach.

Who recommends you?:  Pecon7, Fastlex, Name is Unavailable, Gizmo, with a reference from Jetz to apply.

Why should I accept you? (Please elaborate):  I am capable of locating errors within the server's gameplay, generally because I like looking for ways to break things so that they can be repaired before real damage can be dealt.  Aside from that, I have acquired the ability to keep a level head when interacting with other people, as not to give off the impression that I am directly associated with the server in a negative way.  My judgement is not perfect, and being aware of this, I will almost always put forth a large amount of thought before taking action, the exception being an obvious case in which the course of action is very apparent and required to be immediately enacted.

Nobody remembers the Lasor Cannon?   I have it, it's not a crap-on either.  Fun shooting stuff with it.  The only problem is the strength of the blast, its too small against the players and too large against the bricks.

LOL its horrible?  it wasnt meant to be good, its suppost to make you laugh.  Odds are you dont know half the people I mentioned in the song.  Not my problem though, it was just for fun, and I could have made it far better if I actually cared.

hey, GUESS FRICKING WHO WAS ONLINE WHEN THIS HAPPENED?  none other than Marioguy0, I remember that day, and i loved that police station, but what block said is a lie, why would swat openly say somthing like "because im so important ha ha" out loud?  he is a good guy, and so is york.  Swat725 wasnt alone when this happened, and really im fairly certain he IRC'd me at one point about this.  None the less, i was there and block isnt telling the truth, and wana hear more?  I was on when the station went down!  i remember checking which criminals were online, going off to another area of the city and trying to find a certain user who was wanted.  I came back later to the station because the person logged off, and it was GONE!  If you think you can lie about swat and not have sombody who witnessed it happen, along with some IRC feedback at the time (how i know about more than sombody without IRC would), and get away with it, then you got hell comming. you cant even make a good attempt to flame users with a good reputation without having a massive fail that is already underway.  I hope you are the one who is flamed for this later.  --- if i screwed up a sentence in this message blame the noises outside my window
