we still slowly dying lol nothing really has changed

the biggest thing for the game is that it's now steam only

same 'ol, same 'ol i guess, though BL going steam-only is kinda weird but to be expected at this point

Apparently my last login here was sometime in late 2018, & my last post around the same time in 2017, but it feels like so much longer since I last really checked in here. I remember seeing the forum layout/appearance change, but didn't really bother to look around past that after falling out with the game itself & reducing my presence to lurking before outright stopping my visits altogether.

I had a passing thought or two about this place, & evidently my phone still remembers my log-in info & even some field inputs from a couple postings from said phone, so I thought I'd check in & see if anything of note's happened since I was last active. It is kind of unfortunate to still be stuck with this username, & that my PM rights are still revoked (as far as i'm aware) but I guess some things never change.
How're the forums & Blockland itself, as a game, still holding up?

This is really throwin me off, I know its the pinkie but it looks like a separate thing

the right arm still looked wonky, so I tried to sketch a fix over the OG drawing

keep in mind that I don't know how to draw hands either

as far as the pinkie goes i'll probably just make it closed around the handle too because as much as i want it in that pose it just keeps looking loving weird so whatever

i will keep that arm adjustment in mind though once i actually come back to the sketch

how did you do the crazy glitch static effects?

I exported the finished images, made 25 copies of the first & 10 of the second, then made edits to the copies as text files. Chose the ones that flowed the best & deleted any I didn't want, though the glitches after the image changes are just played backwards from prior.

pretty much i just kept intentionally corrupting the images to my liking

forgot to post this oops (took a few tries to post too, the hell)

it was done completely with a binary brush (the art itself anyway) but apparently I resized it at some point without realizing it
too lazy to redo everything else so meh

edit because it feels redundant making a new post with only one post inbetween: i worked on the head & body some more

more complete(?) body portion of the model, but i still need to go back & fix some things (& also make the wings)

Honestly though, the more I work on this the less I actually want to texture it; I'll definitely do my best to finish the model itself but texturing will either come much later or not at all



currently the model looks like this with all the pieces together & aligned, but nothing adjusted to fit or welded together
