I remember finding out about it from youtube videos like the jeep stunts, some mini city tour with hey there delilah playing, and the oddly large number of 911 attack recreation videos. I used to play the demo for hours and hours, carefully trying to build cool things within the brick limit. Eventually my older brother agreed to buy it for me, and my first day online he actually sat with me while I joined my first server since I was just a kid then. We talked to some random guy on it about what there is to do and he was super nice and helpful, and welcomed me to the game. No idea who that was, but it gave a really good first impression for the community. Good times.

There was this stupid fun randomizer DM I played on once like 3 years ago. I don't remember the name but it was packed with players and after that day I never saw it again. It was a small maze-like arena with cube brick walls and some sections of the floor could collapse when shot, leaving holes. The weapons were really silly and unbalanced (laser guns, dinner blaster, dubstep gun, fists, shotguns, etc) but it didn't matter because the map was so small and noisy and chaotic. You were basically guaranteed some fun pvp. Anyone else remember this one?

Thanks Blockhead31735, I really appreciate it. I occasionaly host while building so you might be able to mess around the map a bit, as barren as it is at the moment. I'm definitely considering hosting Western themed gamemodes though - and releasing the map when I've decided I've had enough lol.

General Discussion / Supertrex's Red Dead Redemption (Image Heavy)

Over the past year or so I've been working on recreating the world from the Red Dead Redemption series in Blockland, mainly focusing on West Elizabeth. This is a giant terrain build with no real end goal and very sporadic progress. I originally started this as a proof of concept for modter builds but it's honestly been pretty fun so I've just kept working on it in my free time. Some things (like paths) don't look as good as they probably should in order to save brick count. I apologize for the stuffty screenshot quality though, my laptop is ass.

Overview Pics

Tall Trees

Aurora Basin

Manzanita Post

Beginnings of Blackwater

Great Plains (most meh area imo)

funny thing is everyone else who aren't a part of those hate them over here as well

just because califorinia is one of their breeding grounds doesn't mean we're all tainted

yeah this pretty much sums up how I feel about CA politically

I've lived in CA for most of my life so I'm not really unbiased either but I'll give my two cents from where I live. Basically I've found that in Orange County (and most of SoCal) is so plain and suburban that if anything it's just meh and overpriced. Pollution control is improving, natural disasters happen but are about as common as anywhere else, and the weather is slightly too warm. Socially, the only way you'd be uncomfortable living here is if you don't like racial diversity or dense populations. I like both so I'm fine with it.

Suggestions & Requests / Modter 1/8th cubes
« on: March 19, 2018, 06:33:59 PM »
Ever since Modter has been created I've found it incredibely useful but somewhat lacking for smooth inclines. I was wondering if it would be possible for someone to create 1/8th Modter bricks and their respective slope bricks? Obviously 8x cubes would be excluded because their height couldn't possibly be small enough (they'd be 2.5 plates tall)

(Example: 64x cubes of 1/8th, 3/8ths, 5/8ths, and 7/8ths thicknesses with all their possible slopes)

This would essentially double the amount of modter but if it was subject to its own tab on the brick selector then I'm sure it would be manageable.

In the end it would seriously cut down the amount of bricks in certain styles of terrain too.

These new cars are great as always, Filipe. You've basically made vehicle handling tolerable in a game where the developer gives no stuffs about vehicle handling. Hats off, man.

Great job to everyone who helped us build! Now it's time to add cities, towns, highways, major roads, landmarks...
