Rexx, you weren't denied BECAUSE of those shady recommendations, you were denied because those recommendations are a good indicator you hang out with the wrong crowd, which also indicates that you may not be reliable to stand up to certain rule breaking players with administrative force.

Which in reality means I was denied due to sharing the recommendations; I knew this already, which is why I added these paragraphs.

At the time I wrote the app (seventy-five days from being reviewed), Cca seemed to be a decent person; I barely knew him, personally, which may be why I thought such a thing, but I certainly found out later on that he’s no good at all. About Aoki, though, I saw him as a very kind person. He was very understanding and useful in terms of dealing with situations effectively. I know that people can change, and I haven’t seen him since I asked for the recommendation, but I just don’t understand. On the other hand, I do understand how you associate the sketchiness with Cca.

My recommendations were taken strictly in a business-like fashion and professionally, I didn't let affiliations alter the player recommending me; If I had known that the recommendations would only lower my chance of being accepted, I would've just removed all of them. I don't know most of those players, but all of them knew how I handled situations faced as an admin, which is the only reason they recommended me.

I realize that Cca is a bad recommendation, now, and I know what an ass he's made himself out to be, but I'm fully against him and I shut down all communication with him a while back. I'm the one that was for permanently banning him on servers he deserved to be banned from. I perma-banned several of his keys on a server he was abusing some sort of speed glitch/hack on (I don't remember the specifics, it was a while ago).

As for Aoki being a bad recommendation, I honestly don't know what has been going on with him. Last time I saw anything about him, he had started up some sort of community-improvement clan called Qi. I saw him on a server and thought he'd be a decent rec due to that movement that was rapidly increasing in size.

The remainder of my recommendations are from players that oftentimes join knife TDM servers, and if I had known that the players on Pecon7's server had a negative prejudice towards knife TDM's, I would've went to others for recs.

As for handling "certain rule breaking players", I've been on Blockland long enough and had administrative privileges on an ample amount of servers to know how to effectively deal with most situations-- usually before they escalate drastically, which most admins don't even pay attention to.

Ry: I can't figure out if this is the same Rexx who added me on steam and spammed the stuff out of me with horribly written sentences and the like, trying to ask me to proofread his application or not, since I declined his request (too busy to be an English teacher). If it is, someone else wrote this for him, which shows some degree of desire to be an admin but I don't think it shows any degree of competance. On the merits of this being written on his own this would be a monumental accomplishment, as his writing skills (last time I checked) were worse than Furling. I'll stay out of this one though.

I was told by someone you’d be willing to proofread my admin application due to your hospitality and kindness, and I saw your server was up. I joined, said hi, you and your friend said hi back, and we hung out for half an hour. It was as if we were all friends, which implies you’re outgoing (which confirms that you’re nice), so I asked if you’d be willing to look over what’s of my application so far, and you said you’ve been fairly busy but that you’d eventually get to it. You told me to add you on Steam so that I could e-mail my app to you, and I did. After that, you never got back to me, and I tried to talk to you about it, but you seemed to know absolutely nothing about us having talked before. I don’t recall you ever having denied or approved anything pertaining to me.

About why/how you made the conclusion of me having not written my own app, I’m assuming it’s because I don’t chat the same way in-game as I typed the app in-- I wrote my application over a course of five days, and it means a lot to me, obviously I’m going to use my full extent of writing skills to ensure it’s legibility.

Ipquarx: Jesus what is with people using Cca as a reccommendation? Stop doing that, seriously. Shady. As. forget. Also Aoki, again shady. But putting that aside, according to Ryk and Tophat this application doesn't match up with you whatsoever. Again super shady. Gonna have to say no.

And, again, the application is my work. I plan on being a writer in the future, I can’t be one without outstanding writing skills. If they don’t match up with my chat in-game, one shouldn’t jump to conclusions (in this case, that is).

Jetz: Feels weird approving 2 applications in one day, in a row, and/or for the same reason. Still, you seem competent. Yes.

I was told others caved in due to peer-pressure so that they wouldn’t approve my application. If you were subjected to that, I appreciate you standing your ground.

Tophat: While reasoning may be nice, many of those recommendations are either alts, have been banned here on the server, or have been banned on the forums/VAC Steam ban. Considering you have a disorder I can't remember, the remarks you oftentimes give when unneeded and the other general comments that weren't welcomed were the reasons I broke contact on Steam. I generally dislike you and wouldn't accept you as an admin. Nothing personal. No.

At the time I was collecting those recommendations, I was unaware most were alternative keys or have had bad reputation on Pecon7’s server (considering I collected most of them by asking those of which were on the server and having them quiz me and what not).

I don’t think that sharing with the public that you recall me having told you that I have a disorder then explaining to me as to why you ignored me on Steam for an extended period of time then cut off communication without consulting with me how I might be able to improve on myself to not offend others is considered “nothing personal”. If you had talked to me, I would’ve gladly monitored what I was saying around you; I was careful to be extra respectful at first because I wanted your recommendation, but you told me it was almost impossible, and you seemed to become much more open around me, so I started loosening up. I’m sorry for that.

Trifornt: Rexx is a good friend of mine, but I know that he's no admin. We met each other and got into an argument straight off the bat because he was being ignorant and mocking me. Also, as Tophat stated, your recommendations have either been banned on the server or have bad Steam reputation.Sorry, but I have to say No.

We barely know each other-- We haven’t talked in months, we are not friends in any way. I recall us arguing because you were doing something along the lines of harassing players on the server along with being in a heated debate with another admin, and I interjected to attempt to disrupt the chaos. I ended up contacted Tophat and sharing with him what had happened, and he seemed to take care of the situation quite nicely.

Apologizing before rejecting me doesn’t soften the impact of your lies. If I were mocking you, you could’ve muted, kicked, or banned me. You did none of those.

Soroxzion: Combine what Tophat, and Ipquarx said and you got my answer. No.
You didn't seem offended when I counter-argued Tophat's rejection to my application when we were chatting earlier.

Marioguy0:  Aoki, Cca, General R?  None of these people are good recommendations.  Two of them are very harmful for your app.  No.
Visolator: The recommendations shot your app down below the ground. No.

Being told that there’s a prejudice on Pecon’s about players that spend the majority of their Blockland-time on knife TDM servers, that’s understandable, I suppose.

Denied.

My counter-arguing probably won’t help me with being granted admin, and that’s okay. It’s not the most important thing in the world for me, right now. What’s more important, though, is that you understand what’s right and wrong from what’s been said-- I’m not saying I’m right about everything, but it is the truth according to my recollection.

Great work by a great guy. I think he did a bullying video too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltun92DfnPY&index=6&list=UUKwpJb8i4HujUYCcHO29pAQ

I prefer this version on TEDTalks Shane Koyczan: "To This Day" ... for the bullied and beautiful.

Anyways, that's my favorite piece by him. I've watched this video so many times, the first time being just under two years ago, I was surprised about how much I could relate to poem in it's entirety. It means so much to me, and I'm glad you shared that, because it might mean a lot more to someone else.

this is stupid

its a nice poem but this dude doesn't know what a troll is

i think he believes that they are depressed hunchbacked failures who only exist to talk people into Self Delete

trolls are usually people who just screw around to get reactions or do something funny. starfishs are the kind of people who talk people into Self Delete over facebook.

I don't mean to single you out, but I want to prevent possible future confusion.

You cannot immediately assume that Shane is using the definition of troll that you're most familiar with.. Somewhat like what I had mentioned originally, everyone has a different view on things.

In the beginning of the video, he was portraying a troll as a horrible person that'd hurt others along with denying all new ideas and things, possibly implying that there was no such thing as the internet at the time. Later on, the "trolls" adapt to the technology, which obviously made the entire situation worse.. The poem develops over time, describing technological advances, so it'd make sense.

"Then one day, the world changed..."

I think he just uses the term because it characterizes the terrible people in this world in an effective way and it adds on to the quality of the poem; It can be interpreted in countless various ways because Shane is very metaphorical with his work.

Shane Koyczan is an amazing person, and he's trying to make the world a better place-- I respect him, and he's one of my inspirations (which is probably why I'm so defensive) as a writer. I understand what the other side is saying, it's just that I think it'd be nicer if you had a more positive outlook on this.

Of course it's opinionated that I feel everyone should realize what this video tries to explain to the viewer, I still feel compelled enough as to share this poem with you whether you care or not.

This video relates to what goes on in most peoples' everyday life, especially online-- More often than sometimes, with those of us whom don't have the courage to speak up reality, we prefer to reside comfortably within our most familiar places and develop an online life instead of facing the real world.

Troll- Shane Koyczan

Be mindful and think things over before you decide to express it from your mind, it won't hurt anyone to do so; Everyone has a different perspective on everything, and what you think of that you may consider entertaining or humorous, it could be hurtful to others.
