a space odyssey was kind of stupid, its like 50% psychedelic adventures through space, 25% earrape noise and 25% of actually good content

plastic cases are better than metal, contrary to popular belief.
more durable, generally more flexible, dont scratch as easily

Welp, still not building one cause that's not what I asked at all. I was asking if that one was good so if it's not to bad I'll buy it :\
is it good? not really. pretty much most "gaming" prebuilts are either low-quality garbage with unbalanced specs or overpriced.

again, as most of us will recommend, building is the best way to go. unless you are either a quadriplegic or have a brain capacity of a toddler, there is nothing hard about building a pc.

Im looking to buy a computer in the superb range (http://www.logicalincrements.com/). What case should I get and why does the case I choose matter?
well, first of all, for around $800 i would recommend an entry-level i5 instead of the FX-6350/FX-8320 they recommended
there are plenty of cases to choose from. it really depends if you care about how your computer looks like, and if you care about noise levels. if you're into overclocking then airflow is pretty important too. i think something like a corsair 350d (non-windowed version)would be a good choice, it looks very nice and sleek. and its micro-atx size so its a bit smaller than an average mid-atx pc. it was around $80 last time i checked

4 8-pin connectors
is there 4 gpus in there? cuz that be dope
most mid-end and high-end video cards use 2 6/8-pin connectors. only lower-end video cards use 1 connector.

btw thats a R9 295x2 from powercolor i think (so pretty much 2 r9 290x's). its pretty stupid, since the stock r9 295x2 is superior due to water cooling, and also uses only 2 slots. i dont see a reason to use the 3 slot air cooler.

Well, I'm getting a new gaming computer in January and I want a pre-built one mainly because I have no experience with building computers (haven't even looked inside of one before) and I don't want to forget stuff up. So this was the one I was thinking about getting. If this one sucks, what do you suggest? Doesn't matter the price as long as it's under $1700.
no, you should build one. the "no experience with building computers" excuse is kind of stupid since most of us have also been in this situation. then we decided to do a day or 2 of basic research. its not rocket science.
anyway, that prebuilt isn't too bad of a value (although the case looks like poop), but then again you can do much better with a custom built

Updated builds because LOGICAL INCREMENTS
a lot of those builds kind of suck to be honest

i had it professionally installed
lol then it turns out that they installed it into one of the 3-pin case fan connectors instead of the 4-pin CPU connector

what are you doing exactly? Playing a game or nothing? If you're on a laptop and it's on a desk, put it on your lap because the computer is overheating.
I'm not sure but the fan might be outdated, is it? To know this is also important.
I don't think it's anything to worry about, a lot of laptops do this.
dude just stop, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about

i also have the Hyper 212 Evo. one day it also just randomly started to go to max RPM. if you cannot adjust your fan speed through BIOS (which, for some reason, I could not with an MSI AM3+ motherboard (its like FX970-G46 or G43 or something along those lines)), another option which I used is to download speedfan and manually adjust it through that.

Thank you so much. I searched everywhere and for some reason Muffinmix's tutorial never came up. Exactly what I need

If someone could make a short, simple guide to understanding what each of the values of ParticleEmitterData, ParticleData, and maybe even ExplosionData/Others do, that would be great.

ParticleData
Code: [Select]
{
dragCoefficient      = x;
gravityCoefficient   = x;
inheritedVelFactor   = x;
constantAcceleration = x;
lifetimeMS           = x;
lifetimeVarianceMS   = x;
textureName          = "x";
spinSpeed = x;
spinRandomMin = x;
spinRandomMax = x;
colors[x]     = "x x x x";
colors[y]     = "x x x x";
sizes[x]      = x;
sizes[y]      = x;

useInvAlpha = x;
};

ParticleEmitterData
Code: [Select]
{
   ejectionPeriodMS = x;
   periodVarianceMS = x;
   ejectionVelocity = x;
   velocityVariance = x;
   ejectionOffset   = x;
   thetaMin         = x;
   thetaMax         = x;
   phiReferenceVel  = x;
   phiVariance      = x;
   overrideAdvance = x;
   particles = "x";

   useEmitterColors = x;
   uiName = "x";
};
