Modification Help / Checking whether a player is airborne
« on: September 17, 2014, 10:01:51 AM »
I'm surprised the searches found nothing on this.

I've made myself a player with the capability to dodge (or, more modestly, increase speed for a fraction of a second) and I recently found that triggering the dodge in mid-air consumes no energy and gives a rapid, unfair boost.

Is there a way to detect whether a player is airborne so I can remove dodging ability in the air?

Not mine personally, but if I get a chance I would love to put this on my medigun.

I still can't believe we won against phAZE. Hot damn, that was a hard match.

After the 6 killstreak Flat got on me I started panicking. Would have been closer if my hand didn't keep slipping around the sweat on my mouse. >.<

Though I don't doubt his skill. You're a damn good scout.

You will play with other classes in a lobby who also tried out and need more examination before we make a decision. This is also true for Demomen, Sniper, Engineer, Pyro, and Heavy.

Darn! I was really hoping to show off my elite 360 jump ubersaw crit skills.

Oh well, I guess it would be a bonus to test people on their ability to protect their medic.

How's the medic tryout going to happen? Ubersaw melee duel?

Orkus is likely a better Medic than I (just because he's Orkus), but I'll give it a go.

'Twas interesting, but... the ending kinda ruined it. Could have been better. Could have been worse. If half of RED hadn't left 3 hours before we started it would have been more organized.

More organization and it would have been a lot better.

I'll hop in, I'm decent at heavy as long as my teammates aren't idiots and actually work like a team.

I can vouch that we proved our teamwork a few days ago, don't you worry. :3

I agree that was loads of fun. I'd also like to point out that I plan to make a real comp team soon so just a heads up for anyone who may be interested.

Interest indeed! I'd like to get more into this.

As for the match itself, I'm not sure I've ever had more stress playing this game. Medic is so damn important...

I was so surprised we won that match. Our sentries kept getting wrecked again and again AND AGAIN! I felt like they just weren't getting the message or something. :s

Tried to absolute hardest to keep people alive, though. God damn an overheal does not make you invincible. I was healing a sniper and he tried to melee kakashi while he had his buff banner on.

Any blue members up for a practice game tomorrow night sometime? On Tf2center.

Don't plan to be getting off, so hey why not! Sounds good.
