General Discussion / Re: last words anyone
« on: May 07, 2023, 10:29:45 PM »
I'm writing this as somebody coming back to some old online games seeing the state of them feeling sort of somber, Blockland being one of them.
I think fondly on the good times I had, but I'm sad for all the things I missed  that were either before my time or that I didn't appreciate and explore the possibilities of.
If I had anything to say to future generations of online gamers, I'd say you miss what you missed. Experience everything before it's gone. Make the best of a community and a game you love. Don't contribute to the negativity of it, and make great things to keep it around longer and make it worthwhile. Make friends, explore the community and everything it has to offer so you don't look back thinking "Man, I wish I'd gotten more out of that game".
I hope that the kids that are my age when I got this game aren't stuck with gachastuff and app store trash. Video games are great, I'm glad some were so important to people that they spent their time making them even greater.

you sound like a friend

I just realized I'm in that thread and that I didn't get banned. I had no idea.

Off Topic / Re: BLOCKLANDER OF THE YEAR 2020 - NOMINATIONS
« on: December 29, 2020, 10:57:49 AM »
It's me. I'm blocklander of the year. Lianne is the ultimate blocklander of the year, playing it better than anyone else on the planet. All the rest of you are chumps.
Honestly, it's sort of foolish that anyone else thinks they can claim this title. It's a joke nominating anyone else, really. Even if I don't win blocklander of the year, we all know that this is rigged
and that I really won. Anyways, thanks in advance for the award.

I would like to thank TITO for handing me this award, truly the worthy holder of the title "Blocklander of the year 2020." I couldn't have done it without the help of TITO. Thank you to everyone
can't wait to win again in 2021!

Help / Friend on Mac.

Yes, I know "Mac is dumb and he shouldn't use it."

Please, only legitimate help. My friend uses a Mac PC, and wants to play this game with me. Though, on steam there is no official supported Mac version. Any way to get around this?
I'd love to play it with him, and he doesn't have the money to drop on a windows PC.

Done searching for now. I'll either continue this thread, or make a new one when I'm able to. Got some things to do IRL.

Been following what I assume to be a nether highway on it for a tiny bit. I'm gonna see if it leads anywhere.

Welp. Only about 200 blocks out the highway ended. I'll only post about this server again if I find something worthwhile.

This is vbworld.doubleugly.org

According to Planet Minecraft the server was first published in around 2013. It's updated to 1.16.3, and has all the new nether content, but it seems players haven't been on this server for quite some time. The spawn area is very barren, except for a nether portal about 20 blocks out north.

I've been looking to explore old, abandoned Minecraft servers. It's already a hobby of mine to explore what I call "digital graveyards."
I've mostly done it with old MMO's at this point (Active Worlds, Worlds, and this one Yahoo MMO that I lost the name of.) I don't know, something about finding worlds and creations that people
spent hundreds, or even thousands of hours on just to leave behind is fascinating to me. I've been on the hunt for mostly empty Minecraft servers that people left builds behind on.
Yes, I'm well aware of servers like 2B2T, etc. I'm looking for the most obscure servers I can. It doesn't matter what game version.

I'll be posting my findings here. As of now I haven't really had any luck, aside from a German server I can't understand the text on. Best I could find was a chest that had a single rose in it.

Where do you get your name from?

It was my default username that I got assigned on xbox 360 live, in like 2009. It just stuck with me.
