dead mans switch that just pings @everyone with a prewritten message, in all platforms you use
'If you are reading this, I am dead. Most likely was gunned down in the McDonalds drive through, or fell up the stairs.'

No photos on this page. Only the topic of picking up geese and violently throwing them at unsuspecting victims.

I think I found one of them on steam at some point, but I didn't send a friend req since I wasn't sure if there was anything to come back to after so long.

Send that message, see what happens!

If you have failed to do this then please burn the provided effigy while chanting the screen name of your lost friend; do not mispronounce their name or else you will face certain death, succeed and they will fade from view, giving you time to escape.

Yeah, I remember hearing about this poor fellow whom did not have the proper resources to counter an encounter such as this. I believe the upper half of his torso was found strung high above dangling from the ceiling of a Starbucks. His entrails spilling down everywhere onto the floor below.

You spelled ouija wrong...
Thank you, Mr Ouija. Do not know how this typo could have occurred. Possible national socialist interference? Hippies perhaps?

some people don't treat these relationships with any kind of significance really, they don't see a problem abandoning people they know online out of the blue. I think it's sad but ultimately this is the way it is. you just have to trust that the other people you care about do actually care about you, otherwise everything sucks forever
That ultimately is the depressing part.

...or they're dead. So, Foxscotch. I volunteer YOU to go and find everyone's lost internet companions of years gone past. I have already begun the ritual and it is too late for you to protest. You'll know you're ready to enter the Fifth Place the next time you take a bath and blood starts pouring profusely out of your wrist and into the bathwater. Only then, will you know.

(killed my pen pal in south africa, oops)

Another poor soul caught in the crime of passion crossfire.

It's a long and painful road, but it will all be worth it when I can finally ask him what he meant by "I don't want to talk to you anymore" and "Crazy frog isn't that funny, please stop".

THESE are the questions that require the most upmost of detailed and intricate answers... If you are willing, I have one other alternative that may or may not help you on your journey. I hope you're not squeamish to animal skinning...

the only therapist anyone really needs are the voices that come out of your pillow at night
Exactly! They are the only thing that will truly understand you within and throughout in its complete entirely.

I have been thinking recently of an interesting and rather devastating predicament that I am sure has happened at least once or twice to many of those whom have spend a good decent percentage of time on the internet. And that would be the situation of meeting someone online, via; video game, forum, etc. That you are rather fond of. Say, you spend a good while talking with them and getting to know them. Then comes the time that they must go for the night. You say your goodbyes, and that you will speak with each other once more the next day...

GONE.

            POOF!

                     VANISHED!!!

Only for them to completely vanish seemingly off of the face of the earth. Leading to you becoming increasing depressed for the weeks to come. Eventually leading to you printing out photographs of their profile pictures to place within picture frames surrounding a multitude of lit wax candles forming that of a shrine. Then the fears of their possible untimely demise in the time since you have last spoke with them fills your nerves with the upmost terror. So you purchase an ouija board in some last sliver of hope you have left in conjuring their spirit, even though you do not actually believe in spirits. Subsequently resulting in your beliefs being proven wrong as you accidentally summon a terrible demon that has not had contact with the human world since 1862, that will now haunt you in and your loved ones for the next 100 years. The demon steps through a portal made of burning, screaming, pulsating flesh into your bedroom, it's organs of an impossible anatomy spill out from within it's chest, dragging alongside the hardwood floor as it makes your way towards you.

And when you assume you have (hopefully) cleansed the spirit in a desperate attempt with a Bulgarian Bloodletting. Your needs not quite satiated. You begin sewing together a voodoo doll in what you can only assume to hopefully be some what in the likeness of this long lost potential friend of yours. After a crazed blind swing of frustration sweeps through your veins, you take the doll within your grasp and begin to stab it continuously with a pin. Only later to realize that the doll you crafted accidentally resembled that of the mayor of your town, and you watch on television as they report she was found dead in her office with seemingly impossible punctures and lacerations to her internal organs without any entry points from the outer flesh.

Anywho, just wondering if anyone else has any similar stories that could have taken place on Blockland, or wherever online. And did these people ever come back into your lives in the future?
