What are you going on about. It has nothing to do with fanboyism. Once you get to a certain point, Price/Performance doesn't mean stuff. Now the 780/ti and 970/80 are the top of the market when it comes to video cards. (Not counting Titans. They are just expensive versions of the 780/ti with a fancy name.)
Except that's not what I'm talking about. Read again

A GeForce 970 outperforms an R9 290X while costing $150 less and using half as much power. Suck it Treynolds.
Super late reply because I haven't checked the forums in like a week

Firstly: What the actual forget? Are you kidding me? Do you think I'm an AMD fanboy? Because I'm loving not
I always recommend the best price for performance. This last generation was AMD because they legitimately had better price/performance than nvidia counterparts. Guess what, I recommend a 980 and 970 every loving time now that they're out because they legitimately have better price/performance than amd counterparts. In what loving way is that hard to comprehend?

THIS MAKES ME SO MAD YOU CAN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND

WHY THE forget
ARE YOU PERPETUATING YOUR OWN FANBOYISM
BY CALLING OUT FANBOYISM THAT YOU PERCEIVE I HAVE
THAT I DON'T EVEN loving HAVE

Eh not really.
Something like this.

But then with ethernet.
No, because that's a splitter and not a switch

I'm not even gonna ask why they decided to go TerXXpXXX to create the short version instead of terras or something.

Redesigned Steam Home Page Brings Recommendations, Curators, and Customization to the Forefront

September 22, 2014 – Valve today launched the Steam Discovery Update, which introduces new functionality and features designed to optimize the Steam shopping experience as the number of new titles on Steam increases.

In the past nine months, Steam has added over 1,300 new titles and grown to over 100 million active accounts. Designed to meet the demands of this growth, the Steam Discovery Update delivers a smarter Home page, offering recommendations based on past purchases, recent playtime, and recommendations by friends.

Steam Search has also been updated with extremely detailed filters. And a new feature called Curators allows anyone to become a taste maker and build a following.

"We have made great efforts to increase the number of titles we can publish on Steam, which means more choices for customers," said Alden Kroll of Valve. "This update introduces multiple features and functionality to help customers explore Steam’s growing catalog and find the games they are most interested in playing."

Steam is a leading online platform for PC, Mac, and Linux software, games and digital entertainment with over 3,700 titles and 100 million active accounts. It is the product of Valve, creators of game technologies (Source, Steam) and numerous best-selling game franchises (Counter-Strike, Dota 2, Half-Life, Portal, and Team Fortress).

I like to think of it as "future proofing"
No, that's just a waste of money
Why would you spend $600 on a cpu and only $350 on the gpu if you want to play games. Even if you were a content creator and could actually use the 6/12 threads, it would be a much better idea to get the 5820k (identical performance) for like $200 less
