My account recently turned 10 years old. I'm building a mock-up of my girlfriend and I's dream home. I'm impressed at how long the building mechanics of this game have come since 2007.

I haven't posted here since like November but I got rid of my lease on my Dodge Dart and bought this a month or so ago.

I already broke it but I still love it.

aw hell yes! old buses hold a special place in my heart next to crown vic p71's. what are you gonna do with it? convert it to a camper?

You got it! I bought it last Monday for $1000. It was already very poorly converted. Good tires, good brakes, motor is free of leaks. Some broken glass, some rust, but for a 1970 in Minnesota of all places, the rust is surprisingly minimal.

So far we've gutted it almost entirely. Need to fix some exterior lighting electrical issues and then register and insure it. Fix some cracked glass. New subfloor. Haven't done much yet except clean it out and price shop and try to come up with a floor plan. Excited to see how it'll come along. Four speed manual. She's a cool old beast.

I think it's been a long while since I've posted here... but since then, I traded in my old Malibu on a Jetta, bought a Ninja, and last Monday, bought this as a project.

Being a native of Phoenix it reminds me of home. Well done, man.

So I'm trying to run Beam.ng Drive on my new computer. I saw somewhere the game prefers a quad processor and if I recall correctly my computer has a six core. I can run the game on low detail maps with ease but only on the lowest quality. If I run a detailed map with lowest, it still lags. If I load up more than one vehicle, it lags. Can this be explained, how this makes sense?

I ordered a Flowmaster muffler today for my Dart. Think I'll replace the resonator with it and do a muffler delete. I really am not sure how it'll sound but I hope it's not ricey, it's a bit daring with a 4cyl. It will be an identical setup to this.

So I'm looking to do exhaust on my Dart possibly. I think my decision now (if I do it) is to do a muffler delete and replace the res with a Flowmaster HP2 muffler. It gives the car a nice growl however it is a custom job and will need custom bending where the muffler delete will happen. The muffler is about $110 and I think I could do the rest for under $300 total. The other option is a Flowmaster catback system. I could buy a bolt-on and install it all myself but that's a $500 kit.

Thoughts? I'm trying to be cautious and avoid the ricey sound.

It's fine if I overpaid. I have it now. And I'd like to get this figured out. I've tried two different new monitors. Everything inside looks plugged in correctly. I've checked the cord time and time again. Sounds fine. One quick beep om startup. But nothing at all to the monitor.

Guys I could use some help.

I just ordered a new rig off of Newegg. All assembled ready to go.

I also bought a new Acer monitor. All plugged into power, the monitor cable is in, etc. It says in the manual to start the monitor then the computer which I've done several times but it does not work. When the monitor starts up, it says Acer, flashes the energy star logo and then says no signal then goes to sleep.

Any ideas?

These are useful little things in flat places. Also, it's Austrian so it's not probably not put together haphazardly.

I live in the Midwest US where it's generally flat. I live in sort of a river valley and it struggles a bit with the hills but it's perfect for basic errands and I love the look of it. I only paid $300 for it. I had to do a bit of work on it already since it kept killing itself whenever I touched the horn button wrong and wouldn't start often when it was shut off but we got it figured out, turns out the horn lever kept grounding out on the handlebar. Kind of weird but glad to have it back. I've put about 90 miles on it since Sunday already. Waaay more convenient than a car. Also insanely fuel efficient.

New question: have any of you guys used body filler? If so, what is it like and why did you use it? I want to eventually try to cover up the rust on my car but I've never even seen it used.

I've used Bondo on my Oldsmobile. It'll look better than rust but it's hard to get it looking really good again, imo. We used it and then just rattle-canned the paint which returned the area to flat black to match the car but it looked like stuff in the sunlight. Also IIRC you live in a place where they salt the streets (which can be assumed if the car is rusting anyway) so I wouldn't bother as Bondo is porous and will bubble in the winter months again most likely. There are alternatives, live I had mine redone at a shop where he used fiberglass resin, which looked much better, but you could still tell the body wasn't quite right there, and the paint used also started to bubble.

I would almost recommend if you're interested in keeping the car to just look into getting it professionally fixed with new sheet metal. It definitely won't be cheap, and may not be worth it, but it would look best.

Beautiful car man. Never been a fan of the sticker placement you have, but sharp nonetheless.

Opinions on the BMW Z3? I kind of want one.

Probably a 2.9L stick., but they're not easy to find cheap. Realistically is probably have to settle with a 2.3L or 2.5L engine

I don't mind the car I guess but it would be painfully expensive to get any work done on it and if you're far from a shop that will work on it it would be annoying to deal with.

okay so i have no idea why the sound is not synced with the video (you can tell when the pipes start to puff smoke) but how do you guys like the sound?

https://video.xx.fbcdn.net/hvideo-xap1/v/t42.1790-2/11767205_1455331904791214_1224863149_n.mp4?efg=eyJybHIiOjExNzUsInJsYSI6NTY2fQ%3D%3D&rl=1175&vabr=653&oh=610ee26d28d91dfbae474cdcf5fbc9fa&oe=55B319DC

its puffing white smoke because i have seafom running through the carburetor as one of many attempts to fix cylinder 6 (still has a skip)

I like it. It's appropriate for an El Camino but not obnoxious.
