Alright, what would you call it?

Not exactly.

It's two pages, compared to the tens of pages it's based on (D&D).
If you read the first section, you should know that most of the improvisation comes from creating your own abilities.

If you can't handle that, and obviously from your sentiment towards the topic I can see that tabletop rpgs are just not for you.
Now saying this, I'll assume you haven't encountered a game of D&D in person so correct me if I'm wrong... but why would you bother assuming so much from a glance when you have no experience in the subject?

Feel free to use the doc in your own group, though it's still under testing and is being updated.
Also, read over it since it has all the rules and explains what this actually is.

I have a server up for those interested in giving it a try in Blockland, J_M's IRPG is the title.

It's base humanoid form under the armor?
Yup, that's what's rigged. The armor is parented to those bones and can be easily detached.

I've actually been looking for a resource to rip gamecube games. I'll take another look though.

There's a little animation I made as a test/practice.

Figured someone here might want it for modding, practice, or other fun stuff.
The file is for Blender 2.73, running 2.5+ should work fine. The textures are packed in the file.
It's rigged but doesn't have any fancy IKs.

Well the build is super neat. I like the idea of actually building a small version of the map.

I hosted a pseudo D&D with a couple classes and simplified character sheets that wasn't too hard for the average blockhead to pick up and play. That ended up being alot of fun.

Later on I put together entire character sheets for play and used my own custom miniatures (with battle and idle poses!) but I only had a flat plate sheet the DM could paint and build on.

I still have the save if you'd like to take a look.

Only works for the popular ones from what I've heard.
Get roms of games you own,
Select file location of roms,
File > Start Netplay,
Make a name, click Waiting Games List,
Find a server that works for you,
Create/join a game.

I also have a controller config saved if you guys don't have controllers. I'll post it if you're interested.

I got a week long beta key for this not too long ago and it was a little dull, but the building can be alot of fun.

The resource trading was also surprisingly fun.

I'd say they're the only ones who i can say i genuinely say have only put out stuff i totally like

i would say from software but then i'd really just be referring to hidetaka miyazaki's stuff (sans armored core 4, i've never played it and apparently its notsogreat)
Took 5 pages for someone to say them, I got scared.

After hearing alot of flack about this game to the point I'm hardly willing to try it.

Give me a reason to play this. Tell me something that will make me fall in love with it... that isn't any sort of intro battle animation that's designed to make you feel like you're doing the things in the animation.
