Skip the prom, go to the after-party.
Turn up with $125 worth of drinks instead. Your practically guaranteed to get laid a better night.

This sounds like "these are worthless"
Well they are, in the same way the mona lisa is worthless as a blank canvas

FYI:
http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/education/Documents/resources/postcards/banknotescomp.pdf
Quote from: BoE
Banknotes were initially IOUs for gold
deposited at the Bank. People used these
notes to pay for things, knowing they
were backed by ‘The Promise’ to pay
the equivalent value in gold.

That’s no longer possible.
So what gives modern
banknotes their face value,
when they cost only a few
pence to make?

In a word,TRUST

We trust that banknotes can be exchanged for the
things we want to buy. We trust ‘The Promise’ that
they will be accepted by others for their face value.
This trust gives banknotes their value.

I didn't know how to phrase it, but I know that UK currency is technically based on the gold in the Bank of England.
My £5 note is actually a promise from the bank that they owe me £5 worth of gold. When I trade my £5 note for an item I am technically trading them the banks promise of gold to that value.

England dropped the gold standard in 1931...

Ah, it lives...

Is anything actually happening?

Looks intresting

actually i figured out all the problems except i'm having trouble mounting the player to the plane
also named_brick doesn't work :(

Dont mount the player to the plane, just transform them a good deal above the plane (or somewhere close enough players won't be able to see the change in position) and then when in position, transform them 2tu or so under the plane. This will prevent the transform showing the player 'moving sideways' as i can only assume settranfrom just moves a player along a vector diff

Do you have everybody's data saved or are we all starting from scratch when it goes back up?

The server image has been saved, so i can restore exactly how it was before it shut down.

I visited the server briefly last night and nobody was on it. I never see it up either :/

How much playing time do I need?

Yeah, some vehicle obejcts caused some issues yesterday. Although apart from that the servers up 24/7
The suggested time is that to get to rank 100(about an hour or so) or I will happily waiver if you can show a solid understanding of the mechanics of the shop, in a helpful capacity.

Had no idea you record this stuff, heh

I don't.... Yet :P it just had factory settings

-snip-
This looked promising, but the ID given appears to have next to 0 hours playtime.
This would suggest it would fail on two of the given perquisites listed directly above the application

goodness is this server over-designed and over-complicated. i understand the concept of a tdm. i don't need a five minute introduction. it's exceedingly well built and a great tdm but oh my god cut down the tutorials and hand-holding.

It's just one tutorial..... After that your done....
