Unfortunately, due to Poe's Law, it is impossible to know what is satire and what is sincere expression of views.

Poe's law is based on a comment written by Nathan Poe in 2005 on christianforums.com, an Internet forum on Christianity. The message was posted during a debate on creationism, where a previous poster had remarked to another user: "Good thing you included the winky. Otherwise people might think you are serious".[4]

The reply by Nathan Poe read:[1]

Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is utterly impossible to parody a Creationist in such a way that someone won't mistake for the genuine article.

The original statement of Poe's law referred specifically to creationism, but it has since been generalized to apply to any kind of fundamentalism or extremism.[3]

Its original conceptualization held that online parodies or sarcasm on religious views are indistinguishable from sincere expressions of religious views.[5] In part, Poe was simply reiterating common advice about the need to clearly mark online sarcasm or parody, otherwise it would be interpreted as the real thing[5] or used by online trolls,[6] extremists, and fundamentalists as sincere expressions of their authors, particularly if they match their own views.[7] Some abuse the law by publishing extremism or defamation without a smiley, and if there is too much criticism towards it, reply that it was only an irony. As early as 1983, Jerry Schwarz, in a post on Usenet, wrote:

    Avoid sarcasm and facetious remarks.

Without the voice inflection and body language of personal communication these are easily misinterpreted. A sideways smile, :-), has become widely accepted on the net as an indication that "I'm only kidding". If you submit a satiric item without this symbol, no matter how obvious the satire is to you, do not be surprised if people take it seriously.[8]

In 2017, Wired published an article calling it "2017's Most Important Internet Phenomenon", and wrote that "Poe's Law applies to more and more internet interactions." The article gave examples of cases such as 4chan with the usage of the OK gesture as a white power symbol and the Annoying Orange administration where there were deliberate ambiguities over whether something was serious or intended as a parody, where people were using Poe's law as "a refuge" to camouflage beliefs that would otherwise be considered unacceptable.[9] Some treat Poe's law as part of contemporary kitsch culture;[7] another view maintains that Poe's law could lead to nihilism, a situation where nothing matters and everything is a joke.[6]

I'm glad we are at a point now where we can openly say Bisjac was prick, because at one time that was a controversial sentiment. Guy had so much respect back in the day and I still don't know why. Cause he was old? He was sassy? It's not like he was even particularly good at building. I don't recall him ever even playing the game.

There's a lot more I could say but it's for another time. I grew up believing the terrible people around me were actually the ones who were right and I was only getting upset because I couldn't handle the truth. I know "gaslight" is like a meme buzzword but I feel as though I spent my entire adolescence being gaslit by various roosters on this website. I still have a lot of personality traits I hate about myself that I picked up here.  Being on this forum definitely made my social anxiety worse.

Ephi sucked too.

I have used the term "4kids chan" to describe it to outsiders before and they knew what I meant.

You know I've always been somewhat of a Badspot apologist, mainly because there are grown adults out there who like to blame their stuffty personalities on Daddy Badspot not protecting them from childhood trauma back in the heyday of Blockland, and I find that insufferable. (mostly I'm talking about that one podcast where a certain fan favorite old blocklander said that school shooting happened specifically because Badspot was a mediocre forum moderator).

People definitely have unrealistic expectations for a guy who never wanted this job in the first place. But I think the biggest thing that truly forgeted this game over was Badspot deciding he was ok with people he believed deserved to be perma banned coming back as long as they gave him 20 dollars. The people who weren't willing to pay weren't the real problem people, it was the people who were psycho enough to keep buying new copies over and over again that tanked the community and gave it it's reputation. Badspot sold us out at a rate of $20 per starfish and here we are.

Brickadia was allowed I'm pretty sure but we've reached the stage where a lot of the minor rules aren't enforced anymore, ie one word posts used to get you banned but noone cares anymore.

Worried I'm finally going to get my associates degree and find out all the jobs I'm qualified for suck just as much as the  jobs I'm qualified for already.
Worried society is on it's way to collapse and I spent the last few years I have to prepare learning to program only for it to be useless in the post-apocalyptic agrarian society.
Generally worried that no matter what I do in the present the future is gonna suck ass anyway

It's likely he would look at a few servers off stream and go "eh" and decide there wasn't enough to make a stream out of

On I think his Lego Island stream he mentioned Blockland and implied he might visit it on stream one day.
