What do you guys think about MakeHuman?

As in, do you consider it lazy or unethical to use?

It's a tool.

Ethics and laziness really depend on what you're doing. If you're making a game as the artist and use makehuman for all of your characters without doing anything to them then yeah, that's lazy, if you don't acknowledge that you used makehuman to make them then that's unethical.

If you're using make human to set up a scene with different kinds of people and then go in and pose them, dynamesh and sculpt over them and all that jazz then all you have is a basemesh generator, not unethical just recognize that it's not all your work.

like
not for a game
just for posing and stuff I guess
but also maybe for a game..... idk

also should it be part of the actual character or should it be a separate object??
do you want to be able to show more skin? like rolling up sleeves and stuff. In most cases you'd just take a plane over it and delete the flesh underneath. That way when you're posing there won't be skin sticking through the clothing and stuff.

Single face thick until it gets to like the ends, then pull it in and create 3D around like the cuffs of sleeves and such.

should it like, have depth?? or be just one face thick? or what
Depends entirely on what it's for

not really sure where the "babying" came from, seemed to me like everybody was asking legitimate questions and giving their opinion on the project.

Presentation is huge in the industry though, trying to get something like this funded without even so much as a beauty shot or some concept art is pretty much Self Delete.

Honestly I don't even think that the domain matters at all if you don't have any work to show on the project itself.

I just realized that I can take a picture of myself and it not be child research anymore

but does that mean that if I took one yesterday and posted it today it would be child research?

what if I was born in the afternoon but took the picture in the morning

so many questions

i like the pattern of people filling out the content of their birthday threads stupidly with stuff like

"so yep i'm 12 now

and what is this

and i blah blah blah

etc.

so lets talk"
birthdays are pretty dumb, so it works

imagine slipping on those shoes
imagine the girl's kneecaps making contact with the hard cement.
By wearing pi she has pretty much no chance of ever meeting the ground. If she slips then she just rolls a perfect circle and walks away unharmed
