I don't know why they haven't gone with a whitelist instead of a blacklist. They ban numbers not so you can't say "123 for gf" but so you can't give out phone numbers. Of course you can go around it if you insist but that's the whole problem with filtering isn't it? It's not really possible. But you can show the stupid parents that they tried hard to stop it, your kid was just insistent on giving his number out. That's the whole goal of companies trying to filter out bad stuff; to look like they are trying.

It may be a bug that you can't wear just non-skintone colors, it was my understanding that that was okay.

You are seeing random forumers claim roblox removed tix because of bots. In reality they removed it partially for that reason but partially to not be manufacturing money out of nowhere since they were paying developers real money.

Roblox being a joke matters little. The phrase "there's no such thing as bad publicity" is almost always true. Some of the temporarily top games may be total stuff, but a lot are not. Of course YouTubers are gonna play the stuff games. Why would they play a severely dumbed down GTA game on roblox when they can play a stuffty RP for the laughs?


The staff to player ratio being an issue is a catch 22. Lose players to make that ratio get better = you're dying. Get more players that decrease that ratio = you're dying because it's not enough interaction.

I don't agree at all with the way they have handled the botting problem, I just dont think it'll be their downfall. I don't know why they are being hardheaded about it

This problem is different by a long shot. Over these past couple of years where bots have been a problem, ROBLOX has shown that they have absolutely no loving idea how to solve it. The only thing they do is cave in and remove features, like the comments section, like TIX, like this servers update. They're basically appeasing the botters at this point.

Press coverage of the site has switched over from overwhelmingly positive to overwhelmingly negative. The only thing ROBLOX does in that regard is, you guessed it, more removal of features. Instead of banning child enthusiasts, they've decided to go full Christian and issue people what are essentially school uniforms, because that will stop them!!!11!1!!1!11!!1!!!!11!

More successful games with looser subscription models, more features and less stuff administrators have crashed and burned quicker and sooner than ROBLOX has. This growth may seem to debunk everything I just said but there's only so much air you can put into a balloon before it bursts.

I don't support the things they've done to "combat" bots but botting will absolutely not be downfall of roblox. Tix weren't removed because of botting though they claimed that was a small reason.

child enthusiasts are not an issue, that's what the news site claim. They want to make the chat appropriate for the player's age. If you're older(or claim to be) your chat will be less censored than others. What you see is not what everyone sees.

You aren't issued school uniforms, you just can't go into a game in naked body colors. If you want to be neon green or all yellow you can.

That is irrelevant. This is roblox, not whatever games you are thinking of. The stats point upwards at the moment, not downwards. You are predicting what you think will happen based on a few choices roblox have made, backed by nothing else than completely different games failing because of other reasons.

Despite the fact that profit is going up and roblox is bigger than ever, you think roblox will shutdown "sooner or later"? Makes no sense. There are young adults making million dollar incomes off of roblox and I'm seeing loving roblox memes out of context. Roblox is not shutting down anytime soon.

Why can't you admit that the game isn't about the exploration of creativity anymore? Roblox would much rather pay long term, experienced coders to keep their game on the front page rather than having new content show up. I remember back then the front page was different and diverse everyday, but it's been mainly the same now for about a year. 

Did I ever state it was about exploration or creativity? Roblox would like new content but they don't seek it out. They don't seek any specific games(except special events) out, people make games and they get popular if they get popular.

There was never a time where everything was different and diverse lol, the farther back you go in time the stufftier the games get and the more tycoons and obbies crop up.

doing the same thing as everything else may not be "plagiarizing" in the strictest terms but it is extremely detrimental to the community

think, if everyone were just making jailbreaks or murder mysteries and no one was breaking the mold would you still be playing ROBLOX?

Breaking the mold is pretty difficult when pretty much every game out there is a rehash of another game. Very few people are breaking the mold nowadays, on roblox or off it.

I play roblox because there are some fun games(original or not) that I enjoy and because I make a living off my game.

I'm not a shill, so you can lose that excuse for when you hear something you don't like.

This isn't a triple A game company, it's a company with games made by kids-young adults. No one game drives the company, its the hundreds combined. Murder mystery in your opinion not requiring a lot of code is neither here nor there.

If these games were so easy to make then you should try your hand at it. Roblox has already paid out over a million dollars to the Murder Mystery creator. Put your money where your mouth is and make a successful game to prove how easy it is. You'll find it is not easy.

Answer the counter arguments I made, don't skip over them and claim conspiracy. I'm a developer for roblox that has been playing consistently since 2008, so I know what I'm talking about and know what is stuff(there are some things), and what is not.

It isn't better than before.
Roblox has removed personal servers, tix, have broken alot of games knowing they would be broken, turned it to stuff only after cassel died and shedletsky left and are practically known now for doing bad endorsements and in the past few years have been getting really lazy on events and piggyback off of major content creators.

Roblox does its best to make sure older games are not broken with new update. But it's not their fault if the creator didn't have a rock solid game or if they quit 2 years ago. This is simply how it is, you can't create a company out of nothing based around software and then build on to that software for over a decade and expect everything to always work. Nobody has done this because nobody can predict the future.

Erik Cassel and Shedletsky didn't have anything to do with today's roblox. They were just engineers.

You mean the people who make roblox possible with their games? That's what the whole company is. It isn't piggybacking. That's like saying Blockland is piggybacking off the people who host servers.

It's funny Blockland loves to rag on roblox so much while simultaneously claiming it's stuff and they dont play it. You can't have it both ways, either you play it and enjoy it or you don't play it and are uninformed about it so can't really complain.
