General Discussion / Re: Should Blockland go open source?
« on: July 25, 2022, 06:42:07 AM »
If this was going to happen it would've had to have happened when there was still a large enough community to make all the content. Almost no one plays this game and hardly anyone is making stuff for it anymore.

Interesting, I remember hearing about BCM a while back but I just never looked into it. Would be great to see this game brought back into popularity.

It's a real shame the most promising alternative to blockland is plagued by such issues from the dev team. I actually haven't heard of Brickadia until just recently when my interest in returning to blockland got piqued, I was going to ask if the game is any good and if development is going in the right direction but I really don't want to participate in a game with such problems both in terms of the character of the devs and the moderation practices.

Refreshing for an old head such as myself to see some semblance of community still going on. This is a cool project and I wish I had time to participate, but with a job and a new baby that's difficult. Maybe someday. Keep it up!

First of all OP, keep up the good work. The project looks awesome and it's honestly awesome to see someone still making stuff for this game. Second, I can't believe people are still making stuff for this game. Is there still an active enough playerbase to make projects like this worthwhile?

What are you smoking? You have to copy and paste the data: text into your browser URL bar.
wow rude.  Obviously converting it to base 64 had SOME amount of value because if you look at the text it decodes a portion of it to "tEXtSoftwarepaint.net 4.0.10".

If you don't already have it, I highly recommend Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It's very open world, even during most missions, and it's actually forty dollars right now. There are some multiplayer modes in it too.
im gonna buy this and firewatch.  Thanks.

I've been looking for an open world shooter type game, kind of like Homefront: Revolution or The Division, but they both have awful reviews.  Any other suggestions?
