General Discussion / Re: CRP2 - Update Pg8

Gonna have to give my #1 vote to CRP2 July 2019.

Not only was it nostalgic to see many familiar names I hadn't arrested in over 5 years but it introduced many great new gameplay mechanics. The resource economy/company system worked well, even if for just a short time. The map was one of the biggest CRP maps I believe, and really fun to traverse. I absolutely loved the perk system and wish it were completed. My only real downsides to this version were the lack of hunger and the relatively low playercounts compared to previous servers.

A close second would be Furdle Aug 2012. This one had the overall best map imo and a really fun and chaotic selection of players from what I remember. Those two factors are what makes CRP to me. The downside to this one is in the name itself.

I think microbrick spam wouldn't have become the meta so quickly if there was a proper selection of rounds and etc. for people to use. There wasn't even poles in the game until recently, so naturally people found out they could just make their own poles and bypass the rest of the bricks while they're at it. They are also used to replace prints since those aren't in the game, so it's a very backwards evolution of building compared to what I've seen in Blockland.

I've tried building in Brickadia how I'm used to, but it inevitably devolves into having my hotbar have a single 0.2x0.2x0.2 microbrick that I resize into any other brick I want. There's no practical reason to use any of the other bricks from the menu. Eventually Brickadia will support prints and more bricks to work with, but I believe the introduction of microbricks (at least so early) was a detriment to the game.

I wish
Maybe some bots that act as civilians that do basic things such as buying goods or reporting crimes?

Add-Ons / Knox's Colorset
« on: October 05, 2020, 08:42:03 PM »
A colorset that I've been using and tweaking for many years. It preserves most of the BL default colors and attempts to fill in the gaps with colors that are practical to use. A majority of the colors come from Trueno's, many have been changed however.

Add-Ons / Re: Event_CloseDoor

Why would you need this? Doesn't OnActivate>Self>Door>Close do the same thing?

OnActivate>Self>Door>Close will close a door to its corresponding state OpenCW -> ClosedCW or OpenCCW -> ClosedCCW.

This add-on lets you directly go from OpenCW -> ClosedCCW or even ClosedCW -> ClosedCCW. There aren't many doors that really take advantage of all these states, only the glassiest door and TheArmyGuy's L4D door come to mind.

Why can't you just accept the fact that you're posting on the Blockland forums in a Blockland gallery screenshots of a game that simply isn't Blockland?

Even if you built that city irl with legos it still wouldn't be fit for the Blockland gallery.

Made a fancier loading screen image that is an edit of the default one.

Sounds like a great idea! 10 slots may be a bit much if you play in a smaller window, usually the UI gets cut off. 8 slots or less would be better I think, people usually dont carry resources at all anyway.

Will this add-on run out of downloads? I downloaded it twice and I'm debating on a third.

Can we cancel E3 2020 being canceled next?

Add-Ons / Event_CloseDoor
« on: March 13, 2020, 01:15:09 AM »
Adds CloseCW and CloseCCW events to the already existing door events. Requires Support_Doors.

This is useful for switching between the different states of doors that have closedCCW variants, such as the glassiest door.

Also useful when used in conjunction with the onBrickLoaded event to automatically switch a door to its proper closedCCW variant, since otherwise all doors are loaded in the closedCW state.

People would definitely play CRP again; even more people will play if it's good.

School sports? I'm always at home playing blockland...
